What is the difference between CM roms and AOKP roms?

  • Ryez says:

I would like to understand the differences between the AOKP and CM. Can someone explain to me?

    Can this work with CWM??

  • PedroAndrade says:

is still not fully functional (contains the same mistakes that in cm version and some bugs in the interface), cm is still much better 🙂 but expect big developments, great job maclaw’s team 😀

Is there HALO on it?you’re powerful

  • What about the optimizations of CM 11 to date? Are they already applied to AOPK? For example, for the CM 11 release of 11/25:

    finally completely removed flicker!
    huge stability and performance improvements
    (experimental) 1080p video playing support

Is that applied on this release or is it made from scratch?

    Thanks for your hard work!

    Hi, this is awesome!

anybody knows if there is posible to go through CM11 and then AOKP 4.4 and then go back to CM11 without factory reset/wipe date&cache?

I mean i’ll like to go between roms like this, is it posible?

    Thanks in advance

    • AterCZ says:

You have to make a full nandroid backup in your recovery. Than make a full wipe (wipe data, cache, advanced- dalvik cache). Than flash AOKP. If you want to have your CM back, you will have to restore that backup which you made in step one. If you want to have your apps with data on AOKP use Titanium backup.

Hello, first I want to thank newmaclaw and his team for been busy delivering all these awesome ROMs.

Saying that… how is the battery usage for this ROM, AOKP is more constumizable but also drains more battery? right?

    cheers
