  • Black Hola says:

Again, BLN doesn’t work on my 8190N. ;(. Clean Cache & Wipe Dav…nothing happens. Free BLN Tools says ‘active’…any Idea?

    • Allan Hundeboll says:

For BLN to work you have to enable backlight in Settings\Buttons Menu.
Also DON’T install blink app or Free BLN Tools

  • Serkan says:

Hi please help me .. I need help ..How can I use the backlight BLN (Backlight Notifications) Give me tutorial link or something like that…

  • Abner says:

what was the problem of the google ok?

  • Omar Ss says:

I installed this version and works great.

I only wonder if anyone has a definition on what is better ¿Dalvik o ART? using this version.
As a comment, I noticed that the dialing pad doesn’t show immediately with ART at first touch.

    • Andres says:

so far art has been faster for me I used it for a week first then changed to dalvik for a couple of days and went back to art, downside of art I can’t flash stuff like s4 sounds and stuff and sony z2 stuff because they crash in art, but I prefer art

    • jangelo says:

I like ART, but I rely on Xposed for a lot of customizations and tweaks (like Greenified + GCM push notifications wake up). So I’m stuck with Dalvik until Xposed framework can support ART.

So it depends on your need. Also, if you flash your ROM every day, your phone will spend a longer time building the ART runtimes, because it is not complied just-in-time, like Dalvik. You get faster app load and response times, though.

      • Allan Hundeboll says:

ART should be faster for just about anything except native code and installing apps.
All serious developers are busy making their apps work with ART, so its definitely the future for android.
Just in time compiling is only optimal for compatibility.

  • MrWocas says:

Big battery drain :(. Please, fix it in future. 15% per 30min is horrible… on 03/10 – 03/20 it was ok, but 03/24 and 03/28 horrible :(. I hope that u work on better battery life. Thx 😉

    • Allan Hundeboll says:

15% pr. hour sure sounds bad. Are you sure the cause is this ROM? I’m suspecting you have a bad widget/app/wallpaper or bad battery.
My s3 mini can last about 48 hours but I only have 108 apps plus a few widgets and use dark colors.

    • Habanero says:

+1 with 20140327 release, plus there’s no abyssplug on the options.

  • azeiteiro says:

    Hi,

First thanks for your awesome work! The ROM is really good.

Only this that is happening to me with this two last releases is that, if I have the USB debugging active, I can’t charge my battery more than 66%, if the phone is connected to the computer (I have a Mac, if it matters).

With the AC charger everything works fine. Someone has this error too?

  • genny96 says:

of 8190N bln works. but when I turn off phone in office will restart and will not turn off …
if I want to download an app from google instead returns to the home by closing the internet and you do not get it

  • torstenoo says:

BLN doesn’t work, buttons go dark despite BLN says it is active

  • Jiyo Jolly says:

GREAT Will flash as soon as possible!!

  • Robert van Schlackerooy says:

ODIN still give an error message:

    Added!!
    Enter CS for MD5..
Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
    Please wait..
    MD5 hash value is invalid
    cm11.0_golden.nova.20140328.ODIN_TWRP.tar.md5 is invalid.
    End…

Don’t know what to do to get it working…

    Any suggestions?

  • Michael says:

    I am off now!
I waited a long time for a good working release, but problems got more and more.

I got back to stock rom and follow these treads until it’s a REALLY stable version to download!

    Cu

  • Adler says:

Hotplug, Abyssplug and Pegasusq governors were removed. Same for SIO io scheduler. Can Maclaw or Marcin re-add them to the ROM, please? While I’m without them, my battery drains fastly.

  • Luqmaan says:

Why do users of other devices have the ability to use icon packs and dock modifications in trebuchet but we don’t?

  • why says:

Mine is lagging do i need to flash older rom first??

For those that have reboot issues or boot loops. Check the battery cellphone, if you battery is not flat, the battery is damaged. If the battery cellphone is like inflated, the battery are damaged.

Example. If your cellphone can’t boot without usb cable, the battery is damaged.

I had too many issues, and its looks like rom problem, but I changed the inflated battery and the s3 mini runs like a charm.

i’ve posted a message about that bout 3 days ago. I installed the 2014-03-13 release and my battery started to last less and less, and ended lasting 1 or two hours. so i looked to the battery, and it was inflated!!!

now i’m waiting for new battery.

same symptoms as you. sudden shutdowns, sudden reboots, no boot without usb cable, battery draining from full to 50% in ne or two hours, then reboot, and when is up again, battery is less than 10%.

Maclaw please research about this, we are not angry, but we want to know what was wrong that much, to cause phisical damage on our phones!

    • Jiyo Jolly says:

the same thing happened to me!! i just got my inflated battery replaced..its not been even 1 year since i bought it..i think its something to do with overheating of the phone…my ‘new’ battery sometimes shows temp upto 45c even if i use 3g for like 5 min.. the starts to heat up!!i now use 3g as little as possible so as to not mess up my new battery..i tried stock rom too same problem…i had it checked at service center..they said its no problem and its normal.. but doesnt seems so…

      • Alexander says:

same problem about a month ago my battery life started to degrade from 2 days to 1 day to 2~3 hours of battery life when i got my battery out for the first time it did not seem inflated but what the heck i ordered a new battery and boom the battery arrived when i saw the 2 battery’s side by side i was like wtf… they are NOT the same old battery was like a baloon had the phone for 1 year and 3 months i read alot of comments about inflated battery on I8190 stock rom, cyannogenmod, AOSP, carbon did not help until i replaced it… ;p

        • Allan Hundeboll says:

All batteries die, but some are designed to die fast. Blaming this ROM is fair I believe we should blame samsung if anyone.
New Li-ion batteries isn’t like old nicd battery so draining them to near 0% before recharging kills them quickly!

    • lucas says:

Same here. PLEASE allow US to download older versions!

  • Allan Hundeboll says:

In my book using odin to flash from PC is just an extra possible source for error. So im thinking its smarter to use only the phone when flashing to minimize possibility of error. Or am I wrong??

  • Saths says:

I don’t have any problems. thank you

  • ChoKuReI says:

    Have the Rome successfully installed.
    Gapps also installed successfully.
    If everything goes without problems.
In the settings it shows me CyanogenMod version 11-201403 27 (!) To!

Why? Possessions but the Rome of March 28 Installed!??

  • Minet says:

Problème choix des réseaux résolu… enfin.
Problem solved … finally choice of networks.
1GHZ problem unresolved; should always restart without WiFi to solve the problem.
The UI application download no longer points to the folder Sdcard0/Downloads, and suddenly no longer displays downloads.
Not turn off the smartphone while charging.
    Sorry for my poor english

  • Arnau says:

Hi!! Youtube resolution it’s good now?

  • suhi SLO says:

RAMZY!!! My phone wont recharge. It was charging fine in the morning before update.

  • rcdroopy says:

    Thanks NovaFusion Team!

  • Black Hola says:

    Clock freezes again… :/

  • Zakir says:

    For S3 mini OTG support,
I think You just need to change USB host permissions and add universal USB device drivers… Because, if after plug-unplug operation it enables by itself, then it can be enabled by software.
(for example with galaxy fame, ace 3 even after plug-unplug, usb mode doesnt switches)

  • Omar says:

unfortunately the process com.androidui has stopped working won’t go 🙁

  • Tiago says:

For youtube , uninstall, download from playstore, resolution fine, for clock disable both auto clock options and set manually. only minor bug is wifi takes 4 seconds to turn off.
battery consumtions seems fine, no 1GHz bug also. -.-‘

  • Ludodu49 says:

The truth is definitively visibly disturbing. When the truth is told, it’s censored, strange not ? ? ? ? ?

  • takuya says:

  • kioske says:

Hey! My 3g network is not working. When I set my network on 3g my signal is not working..

  • Alan says:

Flashed this starting from the 0323 image (factory reset then install 0328). Now my phone cannot see the external SD card. I can see it and browse it from the TWRP file browser but not from the ROM Toolbar browser running in the 0328 image. Suggestions?

  • Tony says:

The name change might have been nice and all but the amount of nighties and updates decreased a lot.

When do you expect updating carbon rom with the latest changes?

    Regards
    Tony

    • suchardo says:

I would rather to see one update per week but usable quality then rabish produced every day saying “NO ISSUES” when realy no or minor issue then they can merge changes with other releases. It will be good for both users – dont get rabish and less load on maclaw servers.

      • Tony says:

True but it seems there were several improvements in the last CM11 release so those same changes could be committed to other roms like carbon no? 🙂

Anyway, my carbon rom from the 23rd is working nice (except for the known bugs which don’t affect me too much).

        Regards
        Tony

    AOSP is for when?

    Sorry for bad english…

  • Alan says:

I might have solved most of my issues with the 0328 image. My problems began with 0326 and included random reboots, inability to access the micro SD card, various freezes / lockups / app crashes, etc. The troubles seem to result from installing over a less-than-pristine filesystem containing remnants of multiple previous installs. So here’s what I did to fix it:

    1) Remove the SD card. Insert it in PC and delete everything except music and pictures.

    2) Boot into recovery, go to advanced wipe, and wipe Dalvik cache, system, cache, data, and internal storage.

    3) Using Odin, I installed an older Odin CM+TWRP package. I used the Odin instructions and download found here:

    http://techbeasts.com/2013/12/11/install-android-4-4-kitkat-galaxy-s3-mini-using-cyanogenmod-11-custom-rom/

    4) Using Odin again, I flashed the latest TWRP as a tar.md5. I posted how to make that file a few days ago in this comment:

    http://novafusion.pl/2014/03/26/release-cyanogenmod-11-0-s3-mini-108/#comment-37888

    5) I booted into recovery and installed the 0328 image.

    6) Re-installed the SD card and everything appears to be working finally.

I’m no guru but this has made a big difference on my phone and I thought it might help some others here. No guarantees of course.

  • Jiyo Jolly says:

dOes any one else’s phone heat up when using 3g mode with mobile data active?..my bat temp goes up to 43-45 deg celsius

      • Allan Hundeboll says:

Actually I have never looked at battery temperature, but it doesn’t feel hot.
But when I used my phone for work I used to disable mobile connection and could go 3 days on a charge with stock room, so the mobile connection obviously use a significant amount of power.

  • Alexia says:

Anyone else having trouble with the battery temperature sensor? Mine seems stuck at 32C (has been for a few weeks now)

  • Luqmaan says:

Hi there. Does anybody have their Android system staying awake all the time and killing their battery. Only happens now and then but it’s annoying
Anybody know of a fix or something.

  • Peter Packer says:

I was hesitant on putting cyanogen 11 on my mini since on most builds there are users having issues, but when they posted this new version with the changelog “fixed probably all the problems” with the nice rebranding to NovaFusion which sounds cool!i decided to give it a try and so far its been good and only with one minor restart issue and the battery so far last a day or so of minor use. I’ll probably wait for some major updates before i reflash the rom. Though i’m still waiting for NovaFusion AOSP for s3 mini not that iOS crap thing they posted 😀

  • muhammet ali mintaş says:

is there a video calling in this mode?

  • Alan says:

I’m having a problem with the phone dialer. Inside a call, trying to use the dialing pad to respond to automated questions, some of the numbers are unresponsive. So I can’t use this phone for those calls.

  • Moymoy says:

Does the bluetooth headset (any brand) works with this rom?
