Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation (only from stock ROM).
If you’re updating from older CM10.1/10.2/11.0 version, you don’t have to perform a wipe!

When I start flashing, the log says “creating backup” and then the phone reboots again to TWRP. Anyone had this problem? I am just updating, formating /system and /cache in f2fs.

I did another reboot to the system, then went to recovery again and this time it worked.

s3 mini don’t support auto brightness
Errr… as far as I know the Galaxy s3 mini does not have a light sensor, so auto brightness would not be possible.
s3 mini doesnt have autobrightness
Everyone has this problem: the phone does not have a light sensor, samsung use the front camera to check the light but in this rom was disabled to save battery, I think.

Instal an APP called Lux Lite Dash. It uses the front camera to measure light and automatically adjust brightness. You’ll find it at Google Play Store.
It (Samsung) doesn’t use the front camera as a light sensor. In Stock ROM there is no auto setting .
Some apps like clean master or battery doctor have auto brightness option working like azeiteiro explained.
Install lux lite via google play store
Goto profiles

It happens to me every now and then, but I’m using Carbon ROM. I have to leave the phone alone for a while, and then it works again.
it happens to most i think,lock screen then unlock works for me.

cuando entras al instalador aroma seleccionas la particion ext4 y luego le das e keep a todo hasta que te diga inciar actualizacion asi de simple

Hi, i have the Problem, that the Camera does not store the correct Date and Time in the EXIF Information of the Picture.
Did i switch that off somewhere? Or is it a known Bug?
My Photoorganizing Software (shotwell in Ubuntu) thinks the Pictures were taken 1970 (start of UNIX Time i think). This Problem startet somewhen in February. I use this ROM since December (CM 10 back then). Any Ideas?

My capacitive buttons are not working. What should I do?
Is this the first time you flashed? It happened me the first time. Solved by restarting the phone on the first boot and wiping data and dalvik. Report if it helps.
Ps: I mean dalvik

Al momento de instalar selecciona ext4 y keep current para que no cambie tu sistema de archivos.

I’m using TWRP v2.7.1.0 .
How can I update it to the current available version 2.7.1.1 from this community??
I copied the zip file onto the internal SD card and ran the TWRP installer but it still remains in version 2.7.1.0.
I also tried with Odin, used the TWRP image file, the same result.

everyones says 2.7.1.0 but its 2.7.1.1, aslong as its working dont worry about numbers
i am back to 10.2. and if i check, that the battery problem is also there, i go back to stock. kitkat isn´t really made for s3mini i think. i has bought a new battery and cm11 is finished after half day. thats not nice. i has searched in www and find out, that it is maybe a problem of the systemupdateservice from google. but i think, it´s maybe a other problem. guy´s, you should fix that first.
i switched to cyanogen, to have more ressources free and smother work and more battery life, but that´s not beeing on cm11.
i can’t upload vídeos to instagram with this ROM, please help!
theyve removed it till its fix so this release is classed as stable without recorder bug
I FOUND THE SOLUTION (for me at least)
I had the same problem….the sound recorder doesn’t work, nor the video recorder.
Yesterday I did a clean install, with f2fs everywhere (data, cache…etc) and I saw that the video recorder was ok
After I turned on GOOGE NOW and enabled “OK GOOGLE VOICE DETECTION”, the sound recorder stopped working….so I disabled the ok google voice detection and it has been al ok since then
Hope that resolves all you issues regarding this bug 🙂

Ok, now, I’ve had exactly the same problem. Here’s my solution:
1. Took the version of 30.09.2014 for Odin.
2. Flashed it with no erase or wipe or whatsoever with Odin.
3. After System boot I was able to boot into TWRP again.
4. In TWRP i flashed GAPPS.
Worked perfectly fine for me. Hopefully as well for you…

Hey guys, great work! but I found a bug, I found that If you activate the “ok google” detection from any screen or even on the lock screen, the video camera stops working, if you disable it it starts to work normally again, i’ts not critical but I’d like to see it work, thanks guys!

I’ve followed the development of this rom for weeks and finally dared to try it. I’m really impressed how fast everything is with this rom. It feels like I have a new phone in my hands.
For all those people who are wondering if it is worth to install a new system on their s3 mini, I can fully recommend trying this rom.
At first, I was a little bit afraid because I constantly read about problems as 1 ghz bug or clock freeze. It seems that those are reoccuring problems but I couldn’t observe any of those problems yet.
The only negative thing I noticed is the battery time. It seems to last much less than the stock rom. I could not identify why yet. It seems the screen is the most energy hungry component. This is remarkable because a lot of people report that the battery time would be much better than stock rom.
Again, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put each day into making your roms for us!
have you checked for 1Ghz bug, settings performance processor. if its there reboot with wifi off.
Something keeps the CPU running on 1GHz almost all the time…
Also: where can I check if I succeeded in re-formatting my /data to f2fs. The new TWRP seems to be able to apply backups to unmatching file systems. Is there an app where I can see the file systems of each partition?

I updated from last pre-AROMA version to this one and I now can’t get into TPRW anymore! I already tried to flash TPRW over ODIN (sucessful) but still no use. When choosing “reboot->recovery” the S3 resets, shows “Model-Screen” an then switches off.
What do I have to do? PLEASE HELP!
