New stable release (20150129) of CM12.0 for S3 Mini is available!
For flashing Lollipop, we recommend you to install our TWRP recovery (available on Download page)!

Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!

- less than 2% of users are reporting issues with mobile data – just add new APN manually with settings proper for your provider and apply it to make 3G working

Good morning, I for one prefer not to use this version while from those mistakes , in my case, not USB works or 3G and off from time to time . for me the 3G is very much needed . But this does not give reason to speak ill of staff work here , we should thank the very maclaw and all the effort and work , thanks to them we can have that version to use it, why if it depended on our manufacturer ( Samsung in my case ) would have nothing of it.

USB DONT WORK
is the tearing fixed? because i have the latest lollipop rom and it said log before it was fixed but it wasnt. it is pretty annoying. or is it just my phone? do i need to wipe dalvik cache and normal cache?

you aren’t the one who got it first, neither am i. it was suggested months ago by someone else. maybe i dont get what was the goal of your comment, but claiming that such a simple idea was yours for no (clear) reason is not much usefull.
thanks much maclaw, your hard work always impress me 😛 i hardly manage to wait for a (almost) flawless release such as cm10.2//cm11 . i kinda look at this blog 3 times a day looking for an update :D. rom isnt perfect but quite good. i like it much and even if its not perfectly “stable”, i use it daily with almost no problems. even if its not “stable”, it’s clearly better than stock . CLEARLY! 😛

Is this ROM better than carbon or cm11? I’m kind of tired from some bugs on previous releases, I don’t care about the video bug, has this rom improved in stability, battery duration, efficiency? For me these are important aspects. I appreciate your answers.

USB connection to PC still not working 🙁
Release is not actually stable, no offline charging, random crashes, bugs everywhere etc, so all complaining about people complaining, what’s the point when what they say is correct? However this is a very good ROM and its getting there, there is still a strange prescense of flicker and tearing. Using as daily ROM and its doing good but can also be a pain at times too.
Also something I find strange, in call volume is very low, signal becomes bad within 2 minutes then the call will cut off, dial back and suddenly the in cal volume and signal is fine until the phone is restarted, then the process repeats?
How can I use s3 built in Radio?

I still experience some tearing especially when gaming.
USB is not working.
Game Killer, Freedom, etc. not working for Lollipop.
Other than that good release. Would really like to see the new Camera2 API so we can manually control our camera, and take photos in RAW format.
Hope we get that soon.

I guess game killer and freedoms issue is about ART. They both are designed to work with dalvik. They cant edit apps using ART. Xposed doesn’t work becouse of the same reason.

I would like to hear from you, guys, what is the best way to backup my phone before updating to CM12?
You can use Titanium Backup to backup individual apps and their data and you can make a Nandroid Backup of the entire phone from the recovery.
Personally I use both (backup changes to apps every week using TB and do a monthly/ pre-flash Nandroid backup in case I fuck up bad and the phone won’t boot).

I just would like to report an issue with the USB that I’m having with CM12 on my S3 mini: The MTP driver in windows can’t load, doesn’t matter what I try. In the device manager, it says that the driver is ok, but that it cannot be initialized, with the error code 10.
I flashed back the stock 4.1.2 and the usb MTP driver was loaded properly right on the first try without changing anything else on windows. Flashing back CM 12, going to settings -> storage -> usb computer connection, and changing from MTP to any other option, be it MTP or Charge Only, gives me the error “Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.” and the only option is “ok” (with or without an usb cable connected to the PC). With that, I believe that the problem is really related with the USB controls on the CM12 port.
For now, I’m still using CM12, but doing file transfer only via wireless.

Download SpiritFM from xda if you want FM. Tested, works.
MTP doesn’t work, hotspot freeze the phone, some random reboot, the phone is pretty slow but the worst fault is the signal…. sometimes there is no signal and you must reboot.
I hope you fix it, but thanks for your great work, without you my phone would be dead long time ago 😀
Guys I really need help. So I finished installing and im off to downloading the gapps but before the download even started something pops up saying that the software in my samsung s iii mini is out of date and offers me to install an app (Z launcher?) to fix the problem. I think its not a problem in the site since I tried mirrors and tried to download some other stuff but still same problem. Any ideas/advices?

The process Android.process.media will be closed. Shows up reguläre using some galleryies. Same pictures show up more than once, other do not geht loaded. With file viewer vor a+gallery everything looks fine.
