Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation (only from stock ROM).
If you’re updating from older CM10.1/10.2/11.0 version, you don’t have to perform a wipe!

Any Bug?
Negative, i did not find any bug.
I have some unespected reboot, sometimes lost the signal, and after each reboot i check the android process for high CPU (99%, solve rebooting with the wifi $ 3g off)

Offline charge is working in this rom
Its not working for me. All I get is a non moving loading image and it stays on even when I disconnect the charger. Then I need to hold the power button 10-15 seconds to make it off and then phone restarts then.

I have the same problem. I can only charge the battery while the phone is on. This is the only issue I found, PLEASE SOLVE IT!

This is actually working for me now. Previously I was using clockwork mode to install this ROM. Now I installed TWRP and did wipe and install. I don’t know why, but the offline charging is now working perfectly.

What a good Samsung Original Stock Rom… It has no bug, no stop…, it works well.

Auto Update ROM within phone will be cool but its dangerous to those on low network since the size is very large so downloading with PC or on resumable download manager is still the best option for now not because it only removes risk of updates fail during in-updating but you will also have the ROM on your SD Card for later use.
That shuld be only for changed files, not for all rom via update.zip. Do we have to update ALLL ROM?

Like in the original Samsung, does eye contact with the screen keep the screen ON, irrespective of screen timings set? If so how to activate that?

Stop complaining about constant updates. They do it so they know if what they’ve edited works for everyone. That’s how a truely stable version comes about. Be patient and appreciative that novafusion go out of their way to give you software that Samsung would never have made available for you. Thank you novafusion for your amazing work! Keep it up!

Without doubts, CM11 works PERFECT, this is not a critic, but an idea, to make an autoupdating feature, maybe in future. I am using CM11 over 2 months! no bugs, no errors, Excellent software from Novafusion, much more better than stock Samsung.
Unless you tell smthng about updates problems, NovaTeam can not solve them. ..

Why does my phone show a stuck loading GIF, when I try to charge it when the phone is off?
This causes trouble when phone restarts automatically and it is connected to the charger. Please help. This is too much.
Try to reinstall this ROM and the google apps.
Wipe dalvik before restart and see if it works for you
I have the same problem. Not only that the loading GIF is stuck, the phone does not load when it’s off. This is really bothersome when you drain your battery so that you can’t turn your phone. In that case you can’t load your phone because you can’t turn it on any more.
You have to take out the battery, take it to a friend who has the same phone, load it there a little bit, take it to your phone, turn on your phone and load.
This is bothersome.
Reinstalling or Wiping dalvik does not help.

download twrp from novafusion and install it just like u would install the rom, reboot and install yor rom. that worked for me.
even after i’ve done some overclock, this rom hesitates a lot whe opening folders, apps, does anyone have an idea what may be going on with my phone? its a gt-i8190l btw, other than this the rom is amazing

Hi, does somebody else is getting a noisy-green screen when locking the phone, automatically or pushing the power button?, it also appears when shutting down or rebooting.

REINSTALL THE ROM
Hi Ryan, i’ve already reinstalled the ROM, by the way, the issue started on Lollipop, factory reseted and installed 4.4.4, the issue was still present so i wiped cache and Dalvik Cache, issue still there.
Any thoughts?
You have to do a CLEAN install of a new custom ROM or OS versions (like between KitKat and Lollipop). Everything should be wiped, AFTER you backed up your data. Then do a fresh install of the ROM, like explained on numerous tutorials.

Battery life extension:
Those who are complaining of short battery life can try this:
1)Choose full black screen for your home wall paper. Available from wall papers selection
2)Also use Greenify to cut background works by apps like facebook etc
.
3)If it is OK, you can reduce the brightness and also screen ON timing.
My experiments with many such features is now giving me a life of close to “3, THREE” full days of battery!!! Irrespective of talk time.
However the maximum talk time I came to, in this time period is just above 2 hours.
screen color has no impact on battery life. there is only brightness . screen on or off
screen on time has also no impact when you use the standby button on the right when you are done using your phone. i dont know what greenify is. maybe it works, maybe not. but apps like facebook will try send and recieve data which keeps your phone from deepsleep. only intervals on the sync will help
3 days sounds like a fairtale. even when i dont use my phone at all it wouldnt last a second day.

Depends on the technology behind the screen. So, no, this statement is complete nonsense.
Greenify is an app for android and stops apps like Facebook to send data in background which keeps your phone from deepsleep as you explained. I use it too and I would recommend it. It definitely works and gives me at least about 48 hours with a slightly higher battery (1700 mAh). Without using the phone, it would last about 3,5 days.

every time i try to download the zip, when i try to open it, it tells that the file is corrupted, it’s also suspicious that before downloading chrome says that the rom is like 210MB but the download finishes at 80MB so… don’t know if this is an error coming from chrome or the downlad source or maybe the file to be downloaded is really corrupted (from the source).
Anyone with the same issue?

Have the CM11 of 2014-07-24 on my S3mini and also TWRP2.7 of 2014-07-20.
Now wanted to update to CM11 of 2015-03-03….. Pressed ON/OFF button… chosed to start into Recovery mode to flash new ROM but after reboot display staid black.
Battery out/in
==> I can get into ODIN mode but not RECOVERY mode.
Okay, maybe Recovery is somehow damaged so I flash “twrp2.8_golden.nova.20140911.tar.md5” viy ODIN.
But has no effect; I cannot get into Recovery mode… screen stays black.
Normal boot or boot into ODIN mode work…. Recovery stays black (after the SAMSUNG S3mini boot logo).
Can someone help?
PS.I had changed /data and /cache to f2fs and everthing worked since over a half year but now this trouble…..
DONT GIVE UP USING THE ORIGINAL STOCK ROM.

When my s3 mini is Turned off and I plug the charger, the phone doesn’t show the battery icon but it stucks on the asterisk and the display stays on. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Any advice?

When going into flight mode the phone gets hot and the battery gets smoked. Never had this issue before!!!!!!!!!!!!

As posted by me earlier I am extremely happy here. I just want to share a few observations, which I am unable to understand.
1) My settings seem to change automatically now and then!
2) My original charger stops at about 78-80% always. But reaches this level fast
3) I have another Indian made Samsung charges, that is able to charge it to 100% but is taking extremely long, like more than 10 hours from say 15%. BOTH CHARGERS have the same rating or specs!
4) I do not know whether this charging issue started as a result of using battery apps. (Now and then I use DU battery saver!

Ani I had the same problem yesterday with the charging of the battery. I thought it was a battery problem and for curiosity I flashed the 20150131 Rom and now the battery is charged normally.
Try to install that Rom and tell me if your problem got solved too.

When using TWRP to install this update from recovery mode on my i8190, mobile reboots to TWRP again and again at the moment that aroma installer starts copying files.
I’m currently in the previous version 20150228.
I do have TWRP 2.8.1.0 with F2FS support and my partitions are F2FS.
If you reboot to system, fortunatelly the mobile works fine.

Hi, first of all thanks for this ROM, great work.
This version of CM seems to have a bug which causes the camera to write wrong exif date (at least in my Samsung GT-I8190N), so all photos taken don’t sort well in photo apps (like flickr).
I hate to see all my photos with their date set to 1970:01:01 01:00:00
