Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!

i wish this release fix some bugs and i wish can move apps to sdcard in this release or in a future release tx and great jobs

Its just happenning with me or maybe with others I’m not sure.
But here are some bugs.
1. I have a pattern lock and when i connect the charger to the phone it wake up directly to the home screen without even asking for pattern.
2. When {(Instagram) maybe with some other apps too}notification came it stay open until lock button pressed.
3. It wake up without pressing lock or home button when left at sleep.
4. Connecting charger and using browser makes the home screen full black and restores same when reboot.
Please fix this.. Specially screen blackout when using browser while charging and waking up of device without our command

Try to make better if you dont like this. You can get this for free. Its not so stable than stock but you cant even get KitKat to your device via samsung.

A team of excellent developers gives us a “present” which is actually TOP CLASS, making the latest & best Android S.O. work in a phone which should still run Jelly and you don’t complaint, you insult people hard (and great) work! Stop & think before writing down your bullshit, if by the way you have a brain somewhere.
Last but not least, as saam wrote just above, if you simply download the app “Camu” and use that your video’s will be great.
OmniROM 5.1 from golden-guy is way better.
And it also has call drops fixed.

Got a boot loop after upgrading via recovery – got to restore previous version.
I will check via ODIN later today.
Issue resolved. Had to reinstall TWRP – but still don’t know why I had to do this two times 🙂 But ROM works now.

yeah, the release isn’t as stable as for example cm11 but that’s normal as it was published much earlier and there was much more time to fix bugs
I’m pretty sure quality of cm12.1 will increase as well over time
and as Jenry gordillo said try to clear the cache – this oftentimes helps

At me, It was a bad battery. If your s3 mini suddenly reboots and then shows about 0-11% battery state, your right. Just change your battery

i had a call drop few times in this relase,
but not in the last one 2015_06_04
For me this particular 12.1 is much better than 12.0. Smoother, father, less bugs. However I didn’t checked call drops yet.
Update from 12.0 to 12.1 was smooth without need of factory reset. I can recommend installing this version for all 12.0 users.

What about the heavy battery drain coming from google play services (SystemUpdateService)? many users i found came up with the that issue. It’s related to massive wakelocks. I hope someone has fix for this otherwise the ROM is not really useable…
btw. great work. is there way to get OTA-updates than the download-copy to sdcard-flash variant?
Hi, thanks for this release. I found some bugs. I can’t add contacts in my favorite list, it works with some but not with most of them, when I press on the star, nothing happends.
I also have a bug with SMS app. It doesn’t recognize contacts when phone number beghin with +33. I didn’t have this problem with the previous release. Thanks.

Can anybody confirms that in call drop has been fixed
Hi i have not had any dropped calls since i went into dialer settings and turned off the phone number look up features. I have received about 10 calls today and not a single one dropped. Before i tried this, every single call was dropped. I hope it works for you. Goodluck

Open the Phone and in the search bar on the top look on the right hand side you will see 3 dots. Tap the dots and you will see settings

For me, turning off the phone number look up features doesn’t do the trick. Still having inbound dropped call issues/Dialer crash.
Has anyone checked if the problem persists if one uses RocketDial as dialer?

Hello guys, after test for one day this release of CM12.1, I have got to say that is very stable, very smooth, without any lag and without any call drops for the time being.
The only bug that I have it was with flashlight, but for me it’s a minor bug.

Flickering is gone, Call drop issue still exists, i think its a CM fault, right? Please tell us when its fixed 🙂 Pre Installed Gapps also don’t work since cm 12.1, i can’t find Gapps for this ROM, the Link is broken. Any Ideas?

On incoming call i cant hear person who calls and he cant hear me. (Looks like speaker and microphone dont work on incoming call) If i call all works fine.

* In the previous version had errors 20150406 unable to send SMS through the application Google Messeger. Apparently it has been solved.
I have problem when I call for someone using some app (viber, messenger …) is only possible to use the speakerphone because when I use the headphones to call to another person listening your own voice.

I’ve upgraded from Carbon 4.4.4 to this CM12.1
The device seems to boot normally BUT I don’t have root access.
I flashed CM12.1 with TWRP 2.8.0 (from this site)

You manually turn the root on/off in developer settings 🙂
You need to enable root on the Developer Settings in your device.

As for the low incall volume I think it quit good not perfect still, because you have to play with the volume up and down to get the maximum volume.

umm, I just tried out this version and I have no problems with the default camera app. It takes pictures that are completely fine…

Still having an issue installing in f2fs:
Can’t install this ROM in f2fs. I formatted /system to f2fs in TWRP but when trying to install it always converts back to ext4. I get these lines:
detected filesystem f2fs for /dev/block/mmcblk0p22
detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p22

I think it’s just not supposed to run from a f2fspartition, yet. You can already use f2fs for data and cache partitions though.

I flashed it today over CM12 (5.0.2) and I am not happy. It keeps saying “Unfortunately Youtube has stopped working” , like all the time. I had to uninstall the APP. Google play services is out of luck too. It says it’s not supported. The download link for GAPPS leads to a closed thread now. I have to investigate.
EDIT: problem solved with no loss of data. I installed the proper GAPPS for 5.1 and everything is smooth as butter. I think it runs better than 5.0. Well done, NovaFusion. I think the Bluetooth needs some work though. I use Plantronics Headset and sometimes when I pick up, the sound comes from the phone, I switch off the headset then switch on and picks up the signal.
Everytime i reboot the phone it optimize the apps bunch of time than open like for a half an hour i didnt understand why. Thanks nova.
when i try to install it, it says unable to open zip file i also tried redownloading it because maybe it was a bad download but it still says “unable to open zip file” how do i fix this?

My opinion:
People who test the Roms in their cell should post on which model is testing.
So believe in a particular model happen a problem can be easier to solve because some say it works perfect and others report a list of problems.
The Roms made to the S3 mini according to the New are completely compatible with the models i8190, i8190L and i8190N.
If you have some of the models which publish and report their problems, if different model, publish the same way, to understand where it causes the greatest problems.

Is it normal that my S3 mini uses 68 seconds for powering on – can this be made faster?
Is there any means to do some battery savings, .e.g. my other phone (S5 running under stock Samsung Android 5.0 – rooted) offers two levels of battery saving. Among these is an aggressive one which even turns the screen b/w.
Im not too sure if this is an issue regarding OS or software. But i thought I’d make note of it anyway.
Whenever I’m talking to someone and I have them on speaker, if I get a message on Skype (haven’t noticed it on any other apps) the call will take whomever it is, off speaker. Can be confusing sometimes.

does anyone have a good idea of how to move apps to sd? What is the best way to do it?
I did try with a couple of apps like “move to SD” or “link to SD” but they both say that the phone “sees” the memory as a whole (internal+SD) therefore the “move to” apps don’t recognize they have the possibility to actually move apps. I’d like to know why this happens! 🙂 If you solve it let me know! TY! 😉

I have a big problem with my S3 Mini, i have no baseband! No Sim Signal! My Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini NFC. In previous version have my S3 Mini NFC version a baseband.. I must downgrading to use Sim card!

After several days of using I can report about the following issues:
– low incall voice (still)
– dialer is crushing during calls
– can’t install apks from outside the playstore. Installation always failing.
(If anyone has an idea why, would like to hear)

_ for the incall voice just press the vol – and vol+ after that you will hear high voice.
_ about the dialer crushing you will go to setting and app, do clear data and cash and stop process for dialer after that reboot phone.
_ im installed many apks without any issues, just be sure if this apk it compatible with phone.

Hello! I really like cm12.1 and it’s really great, but I have some issues. First is the volume in calls, but as i saw in comments, it’s for everyone. No call droping tho. And second is that when my phone gets a little warm it turns off. The thing that warms up is battery. And this is really annoying. I don’t know is it only my phone’s battery dying or what.
Hi, the system profiles does not work correctly. I set a profile to turn on/off 3G data connection but it not work, the data connection remain in the originary status. With the CM11 this feature works well. Someone has the same problem?

Hello, the ROM is quite good. But as always we have bugs(bugs, bugs have ever someone try to kill them?)
1st. The link2sd didn’t working! Something is going with the lollipop architecture?!
2nd. When I make calls, somewhere on the screen is a transparent speaker, maybe if you touch it the incoming speaker made loudness.
3rd. At the camera’s menu no where is the selection to save it in the SD.
BUG: The updated version (2050420) of CM12.1 in the keyboard the function “flow” doesn’t work. It did previously. Thx Nova!
I personally downgraded to CM12.1 [20150412] cause I had many issues with stability. Different apps crashing or closing unexpectedly, nonsense reboot ect.
BUT I wanted to ask if anyone has problems with charging. Both myself and my girlfriend use CM12.1 (she’s the official nightly cause she’s S4) and both of us have the same charging issue: the electricity charger doesn’t work. We tried 4 of them, is not a charger issue.
She manages to charge the phone via the usb-to-miniUSB cable connected to PC. Mine doesn’t work like that either. Anyone has this problem? TY 🙂
