I installed this custom ROM / I’ve to say, you’re too good at this / I am loving it as well as it is bothering me too / I’m suffering with battery charge / At first, i thought my handset’s original battery is damaged / So, I replaced it with a new one / But the result is same / Charge decreases too quickly / From my experience, after the battery is fully charged, just after 4-5 minutes, battery percentage decreases from 100 to 95 ! / It is so annoying / Please, fix this issue / By the way, thanks the whole team for make us tasted the Lollipop 🙂

Guys this page is for: 1- download the ROM, 2- we test it, 3- we report any bug that we encounter. This is part of the game. We are not paying for this, we have to find out if a program works or not and report to Nova so they can find out why such program is having that behavior under such Rom. Before you test a new Rom make a full backup. Test the new and if you are not satisfy with it you can go back inmediatelly to the older stage. Nova does not answer question here, by the way, I my self do not have to do anything with them, just thank them for such big effort to give us something that nobody else have. My friends that owns Motorolas or other cell are still in 5.0.2.

🙂 I always believe If you hate to test, go back to stock, old, ROM, or open your wallet and buy a late generation expensive cell phone. I, myself enjoy my old GT-I8190 doing like a top of the line cell 🙂 the ROM is not perfect yet, but with our help Nova is in the right way.

I don’t have any idea Hemagon, sorry. This Rom is going pretty well for my taste. Some little problems once in a while with the touch screen specially with whatsapp, but I am using this Rom for my dayly use already, pretty satisfy.
I change the CPU governor, as suggested by somebody here to zzmove and it is going pretty well.
Try it.
Make a full backup with TWRP if you are not satisfy with the result.
Are the sim read / write issues fixed yet? Also how is the overall speed and battery life compared to Kitkat?
Mike, battery subject, I can report you may be tomorrow. The 05/27 was sucking battery, let’s see this one.
About the read/write issues of the sim card, if you could explain a little bit more what is all about, I try to understand. What are you trying to read from the sim card and what are you trying to write on the sim card?
APN? Contacts?
My cell phone is unlocked and I can use it with sims of any carrier in the world.

I can’t access my sim at all. I know it’s a custom Rom issue because I don’t have that problem on the stock one.
I don’t really know what info to give to fix the issue apart from it’s a GT-l8190N model on the Vodafone, New Zealand Network.
So Mike you probably have a locked cell phone for Vodaphone service. Usually a locked cell phone when starts shows some advertisement from the company that sells it. Is that your case Mike? When the cell starts does it show something about Vodaphone?
Just shows the traditional Samsung logo. I fail to see how it can be lock, it does work with different networks…

I never had any problem with ROMs from here since CM 10.2, 11, and now 12.1 with my sim card.
It is recognized inmediatelly after the ROM is flashed. APN, and all the services. And the carrier in my Country is not a magnificent one..
What does happen when you start your cell with your sim card?
With no SIM when I select “Mobile networks” it says “insert SIM card to access network services” but that’s normal right? Otherwise you can hijack any service and not pay for it?
When I select “Mobile data” is says the same thing. So your guess is as good as mine.
All and all the SIM is fully accessible and even shows that I can use alternate networks if I want.
And Mike when you try to select Vodafone in your country, does the APN appear?
Yes it does. Under Network operators I also have access to 2degrees network (haven’t tried the SIM for it yet.)

The method I am following is “Method 3 of 3: Manually Unlocking a GSM S3”
I made it up to Network lock and it says “not active”. So I have to assume my SIM isn’t locked.
I have GSM WCDMA if that’s of any interest.

I know that, the phone infrastructure is basically the same. Point being, by following that guide it claims that my SIM isn’t locked.
On a newer Katkat version (here) someone claims that the SIM toolkit becomes available when you set a SIM pin. But unless that gives you access to SIM read/write functions then the ROM itself is still broken.

I am with you Alan Perreira, Camu app camera is terrible, and I wish that stock camera could give the option, like in CM 11, to save images in SD memory.
I’m using PowerCam for videos, it’s working just fine.

YouTube crashed
Sometimes work, like with Instagram… Is a CM12.1 bug?
in the last release, the video camera has a problem, the videos recorded were green and never showed any image acceptable (all green), now i don’t know if the error continues, if there is anyone who knows about that problem please tell me.
so, all the releases of LP from beginning they have this problem and not just the CM but all rom’s that running android 5.1 for s3 mini havr this problem, not fixed yet

Good morning people, I hope you are able to suggest me a possible solution.
Since I have flashed this last Rom I continuouly get an annoying window that says:
“Unfortunately, Google Play service has stopped”.
I have reflashed the gapps, wipped cache and dalvik, clean cache under>Apps>Google Play Service> Clear Cache and I keep getting once in a while that NOTICE.
Does anybody know how to get rif of that? Thanks.
Some more bugs:
1-battery usage is flying (with same programs), Sync OFF, WIFI ON, Battery Saving.
2-screen keeps freezing and the touch screen does not respond unless I give a little touch to the power button to turn off the screen and than the touch screen start to work respond again.
3- something better, the connection tomobile network is faster than other ROMs.
4- torch responds slowly and cell crashes and reboots.

I had that, you can try (after backing up everything!):
1) deleting the data of every google app (from settings->apps->downloaded choose your app and delete the data), reboot
2) if 1 doesn’t work, uninstall every google app that complains, then reinstall using the play store.
3) If 1 and 2 doesn’t work, erase /system, /cache, and davlik cache. Reinstall CM and gapps, reboot. Again, remove any app that is complaining or crashing. Reboot, possibly flash gapps agin
4) If 1-3 doesn’t work, erase /system, /cache, davlik cache, and /data. Reinstall CM and gapps, reboot. Again, remove any app that is complaining or crashing. Reboot, possibly flash gapps agin
I had to go to step 3. I think that if I was more careful uninstalling apps from #2, I might not have needed to wipe system. Nothing really bad happened from wiping system, just had to re-enter my google account info and everything worked ok after that
Thanks maqifrnswa, you know how I solve it? I went into: settings>apps>all>Google Play Service>uninstall all updates and install factory app.
It solved my pain in the a…. Window. It seems that when I installed the gapps using the last AROMA’s Rom it installed a new version of Google Play Service that was crashing.
If you ever get that problem again, try my solution to see if it work for you too.

As requested in the topic, here are my bugs
– Bad French layouts
– Bad French translation due to Cyanogenmod
– BLN Control doesn’t work, due to Novafusion kernel, apparently
– Still torch Long on-time.
– Still torch crashes when toggle several times… then it reboots, and I must reboot again because simcard is not activated
– No EAP-SIM
– Sometimes when I turn on the screen, the touch doesn’t work.
– Battery drains so fast !
To Nova Team:
– could you update the link to download GAPPS, please ? It is broken…
– could you update TWRP to 2.8.6.0 ?
You notice too that the battery drains very fast.
I have noticed that my CPU stays long time in the range of 1000 MHz

Just a few things. I have video crashes in apps like Instagram, YouTube and i have GIF problem on 9Gag. Some gifs work some don’t but they mostly don’t. And when are we getting f2fs ? If we have it already how do I use it because I don’t have aroma installer to choose it and TWRP log says ext4 ?
hello novafusion.. it seem like theres problem with the hotspot.. it is connected but limited..thats all that i face for now everything works as it should..btw those who facing hang or lagg..just change your LCD density to 200DPI that will reduce your lagg and download entropy seeder to reduce the hang more 🙂 about the video..download app name illusion video..it worked well for me.. glad to help 🙂
forgot to tell..if you want to change LCD density just go setting-Display&Lights-LCD density change it to 200..or lower..but the lower the density the smaller the view..
no carrier here,how do i solve it??
Lokman try first to wipe cache and dalvik and restart your cel with wifi off.
Check if you have your APN under: settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names>upper right corner 3 dots>Reset to default.
If that does not place the names of your APN of your carrier, you have to find out all the parameters and set them up manually in the same place of the 3 dots.
I hope this can be usefull to you.
Many times you can find the APN for your carrier in goggle.

Everything works just fine on min, for the camea im using Camu. Battery life is amazing. Thanks Nova, Stock based was becoming too boring. BTW, Testing rom from SA. Guys its best you format your internal storage, install cm11, then install cm12. Perfecto!!

A few days ago I installed Carbon4.4.4 and today I installed AOSPA (Paranoid Android) 4.4.4. Both have really awesome features Cyanogenmod doesn’t have as stock-features. However, both Roms, Carbon and AOSPA have one issue (I discovered very soon) is that Snapchat crashes when trying to send video’s, and Messenger crashes too when you try to upload a video. I heard Instagram and other apps fail too when trying to share video’s.
Nova-team I’m begging you please fix this issue, I don’t experience the problem in Cyanogenmod KitKat so I assume it wouldn’t be very hard to fix this because you already have the code. Roms like Carbon and AOSPA deserve a lot more attention than they get now.

i can’t get in the Play-Store. I have updatet from an older CM 12.0 Version and didn’t update the GAPPS. Is this essential? It says there is no Connection but im in a WLAN and can browse everywhere else.
A get a couple of bugs after I updated from the update which was released 12th of May 2015 (12.1):
– Google Play Services keeps crashing and I can’t login to my Google account
– Apps were deleted
– After launching Spotify and when I want to access my phone again, sometimes it crashes or it takes a while before the phone responds
– I couldn’t get Facebook installed (I have now Facebook Lite which is working fine for the time being)
– When I watch videos on Instagram or Youtube, the app crashes (I installed Flash Player)
If I find more I will comment it
On my phone YouTube is never crashing when I start it directly from the home screen. But it is always crashing when I start it from another app. For example when I click on a link in Chrome and chose to open it with YouTube.
yo nova guy..i have a new report, this morning when i open gallery i noticed all my picture looks the same..but when i open the picture it show the real picture..thats all for now 🙂
Periscope app and Meerkat app is not working. Periscope crashes and meerkat stuck on loading for infinite. Puffin browser with adobe flash player live stream, Splashtop 2 and StofaTV live stream works fine because it is using external codec. Periscope and Meerkat using build-in broken codec that does not support livestreaming.
a guy found a way to fix the problem by modify the build.prop but i forgot it forever.
i’m going to ask the app developers to see if they can make S/W acceleration or use other codec or not. livestream is not working on H/W as i know so far so livestream should work on S/W (software) with small lag. .flv video format works fine on S/W but not on H/W.

Facebook crash when some video appears on wall during chcecking the wall. (Video autoplay feauture will crash FB)

My issue:
Fast battery drain on wifi, very good battery life on 3G.
Connection problems on wifi with dhcp, solved it switching to static ip.
Touch screen sometimes does not work after wakeup, have to turn display off and on to make it work again.
Looking forward to next release …
Good morning Nova, I would like to mention something that I have noticed even in CM11 and here in CM12.1.
I keep in my cell different keyboard languages that I use when I need to write in other languages and they change by them self without me want it.
This issue happens even with google keyboard.
I removed the CM keyboard with AROMA gapps and installed only google one, and I still have the same issue.
I learned to live with it but is something that since a long time I wanted to let you know.
When you choose to add more languages to your keyboard, in CM11 there was a way to get rid off the language key selector beside the space key. In CM 12.1 even if you diselect the selector icon, the key keeps appearing.
You said to test an report any bug, hahaha 🙂

Please tell me if the SIM working well in this ROM? Meaning, SIM Toolkit appears on all Apps drawer and if it appears, are the menus on SIM Toolkit functioning?

I have a big problem… Long reboot times and battery drain a lots in every reboot. I put phone to reboot, and phone don’t turning on again.. after 5 times or 6.
Hello, 1- are you flashing the correct gapps for 5.1?
2-did you wipe the cache and the dalvik after flashing this ROM and/or the gapps for 5.1?
3-this ROM needs a longer reboot time due to ART, you need to have patience. it takes time. The battery must have I suggest at least a charge of 90%. The optimization part of the installation is longer than in CM11 that used DALVIK. If am not wrong ( I hope) 🙂

Every time I Flash rom and clear dalvik and cache and I use 100% battery to do that. And Gapps is 5.1
I looked for problen and this problem is only if I enter in TWRP.
After entering in twrp if I dont clear cache and dalvik the phone don’t turning on, and for it on I need clear cache and dalvik, if I trie to turn on without that the phone drain battery a lots, I fount this little proble after tried to show the TWRP to one friend talking about custons roms.
I dont have much apks, only music player (PlayerPRO), one calculator app because mine original crash if I press “=” to end equations, google camera, quick pic (because I don’t like so much of gallery), AirDroid, WhatsAPP, TrackID, Team Viwer to look mine PC and a little game called Loggin Quest. I don’t use phone to other things and I only listen music, talk and send SMS. Youtube crash some times now and I’ll wait for a fix, But I don’t use it so much because the 3G service here is only for emergency. And I clear the phone and the problem isn’t with the apps intalled.
How old is your battery?
Probably you need a new one.
You do not have any friend with a similar cellular phone to whom borrow his battery and see if you get a different behavior of your before you spend some money?
Think about it.
My S3 mini is 2 years old and I already replaced the battery.

Audio volume is still jumping around on me. It happens when I listen to music or podcasts with different apps (so it’s not the app) in two hours of listening the volume randomly will increase suddenly maybe 4 times. The volume jumps from normal to VERY LOUD. I’ve had this happen with all the versions of cm12.1 I’ve tried here, 3 builds so far.

I habe one big issue:
The phone APP is so sluggish that when i receive a call, the screen stays black for a long time, an after the screen appears, it takes so long to accept the call that it is already over and i have to call back.
Other performance is OK. But this issue makes my s3 mini nearly unusable as a phone.
Any hints for me?
