Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!

Issues
- video taken by stock camera app is green, but some apps like Camu taking correct videos without any issues
- less than 2% of users are reporting issues with mobile data – just add new APN manually with settings proper for your provider and apply it to make 3G working

Why the camera is not fixed yet? Camu is recording videos at very low FPS. I’m just wondering, it’s big jobs, thanks.
You must enter Camu settings and disable the HD mode.
i think that question should be for Samsung, not for the team, they try to do the best that they can, and just for that they deserve our respect and don’t ask for something that we can’t (or don’t want) to do
It has nothing to do with Samsung. They stopped support for our mini at 4.1.2 . If you want the latest Firmware you have to accept some bugs.

please someone tell me what happen with the video camera? i do not like this rom for that reason. i do not wanna install other aplications to fix that problem. i think is the moment to change and fix camera
there is no driver for this hardware on lollipop, so kernel has missing parts
i hate that problem, in consequence i hate this rom, sorry but the problem with the video camera is the worst

Found a bug with the button for “all apps” it is not showing all the installed app but instead open a dark window with nothing in it
also for three releases I can’t install Facebook app. PLEASE FIX

Which Omni do you use (could you post a link)? Do you have to perform full wipe when switching to Omni from CM or just wipe cache? How is the overall performance compared to CM?
BTW. The notifications on locked screen should be working in CM as well. It is a part of CM 12.1 (you can find it under settings->notifications), but it doesn’t work in nova releases…

Thanks! I’ve installed OMNI and it is MUCH MUCH faster than CM. I miss some customisation features and Live Display but what I have instead is fast and responsive phone (I’ve almost forgotten how it feels to have one).
Thanks to Novafusion! I do admire your work. I hope your releases will get better and better. I really would like to have CM which is as fast as Omni (it would be perfect 😉 ). For now I stay with Omni.

the application drawer is awful
Good evening, my report after few hours of test.
1-battery is still a problem, specially with wifi on. I just checked a brand new ZTE cell and I saw that under >settings>wifi>3 dots upper right corner of the screen>Advanced>keep wifi on during sleep this comes with> never
I will see if I get any improvement .
2-back and menu buttons are working much smoother than before.
3-twitter and you tube are working in my case.
4-Facebook, starts faster but when you try to log off the app crashes and reboots the cell.
5-torch is still kind off slow in response (I really don’t care), it’s not a matter of deth or life. After 7 times the cell did not reboot (who cares).
6-offline charge is still working, but if you try tu turn on the cell with cord attached you get a restart of the charging process, the cell phone to start needs to be disconnected from the charger.
7-testing the stock camera, just turning on, I got such a terrible crash that cell restarted from the beguining like I was flashing the ROM again.
Waiting for the cell to finish to optimize Android. I will let you know after the new restart if I find out something new.
I hope these are of Nova help, thanks for the improvement, keep up.
Second report after terrible crash
8-if I use CPU governor Interactive, I have notice that the CPU stays longer time in the range of 1000 MHz, changing the governor to zzmoove, the CPU frequency almost inmediatelly goes almost steady to 200 MHz.
9-sometimes the touch screen does not respond, I have to turn off the screen with a small touch of the power button than stats to respond again, specially typing text either in whatsapp or messaging or Facebook.
10-applying a different theme to the ROM it seems it’s not a good idea, I have installed the one called:” Deep Darkness ” and almost inmediatelly started to crash and rebooted, very bad because was giving a nice look to the screen.
I hope you do not erase this comment because I mentioned this theme.

Alzen just download the latest ROM, move it to your SD memory, restar in recovery TWRP, flash the new ROM, wipe cache and dalvik and that’s it. Reboot and be patient. You don’t have to reflash the gapps if you already have done.

I have installed gapps 5.1. And i want updates my google apps ex; maps, youtube, etc. Can manual update from playstore (and can integrate to system?) or must flash latest gapps 5.1?

Because every time there latest version, i always reflash from stock rom via odin and clear data. Thats make my device hardware damaged
1-flash via odin the TWRP that you will find in the download section.
2-download with wifi connection the late rom and you move to the SD memory.
3-here: https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/releases
You can find the gapps for 5.1 that you want to install.
Download the micro, I suggest you. Place also this in the SD memory.
4-restart into TWRP recovery by holding at the same time: Volume +, Menu Buttom and Power Button. You will get a Blu screen and than series of button in the screen. Go to install, look into your SD memory for the CM12.1 ROM and install it, wait. When ends touch return and install the gapps and wait. When ends the installation, remember to wipe cache and dalvik before reboot.
Finally Reboot and wait, good luck.
I hope I was clear enough.
Next time, when there is a new ROM, you just have to download it, place it againg in the SD memory, restart in recovery TWRP, flash the ROM, wipe cache and dalvik and you don’t have to reflash the gapps.
What ever you want to install after that you can do it from play store.
You don’t have to clear tha data every time this way.

After you install the gapps this way, you just download from play store what you like, on less you wipe data and havevto start again

S3 Mini is legacy phone right now. Company, who made its SoC doesn’t exists any more, they’ve dropped it on ICS (4.0) – more than 5 Android version ago! Samsung droppped it just one version above, but they were also fixing Android 4.1 to use ICS blobs (with some excepts, like their own audio blobs for 4.1 – without them we would have same audio issues as Sony devices with STE SoC since Android 4.1!).
We still running it on ICS blobs. It’s completely crazy!
Me and Marcin were and still working really hard to provide as best software for this LEGACY (remember this word) device in every part of free time that we have. We don’t have as much time as years ago for this, but still doing our best.
You don’t remember that only because of us CM11.0 and above have working multimedia (yes, including even making photos). Of course we aren’t saints at all, it took us a lot of time to get spirit of opensource and share sources to other developers, but still – I think we have huge contribution in development for S3 Mini.
I read logcats. But most of your logcats on my emails are removed. You know why? Because I won’t read 100+ logs about same bug. Trust me, if something doesn’t get fixed just after you send me logcat it’s not because I don’t care. I do. @golden-guy, @Android-Andi and other developers too. It’s just because log is often not enough. Mainly because we’re running NEW android on LEGACY device with LEGACY BLOBS.
I really love this place, I really love what I am doing for last 4 (oh sick me! ) years. But I still can’t understand why you think everything is so easy. You will send me log and I will push fix for it in 10 minutes. Doesn’t matter what is the real cause of this issue. I should just leave my work, family, life immediately and take care of this issue. Or I will get completely blamed on email, in comments on my site and here.

there are many little bugs, but all must be solved:
– reading contacts from simcard
– full support for external sd-card
– gallery, whatsapp… dont find any files on external sd-card ( I’ve copied some on sd-card with filemanager )

When I try to record my screen using apps like mobizen, the device just crashes and I have to remove the battery and bootup my device again. Why it´s this problem happening on my device or in you´re ROM?

– Bad French layouts
– Bad French translation due to Cyanogenmod
– BLN Control doesn’t work, due to Novafusion kernel, apparently
– Still torch Long on-time.
– Still torch crashes when toggle several times… then it reboots, and I must reboot again because simcard is not activated
– No EAP-SIM
– Sometimes when I turn on the screen, the touch doesn’t work.
– Battery drains so fast !
– Slower than previous release
To Nova Team:
– could you update the link to download GAPPS, please ? It is broken…
– could you update TWRP to 2.8.6.0 ?

Third Report Nova, sorry to bother:
I did not notice until this morning that when I got an incoming call that the volume of the othe other person was almost nule, having my cell at maximun.
I told the person to let me call back and the volume was normal.
This issue I never had with older ROMs.

Lollipop does not allow you to place what you want in this ROM.
You have to live with that or move to CM11.
My report of this hour to Maclaw.
I just updated whatsapp and I noticed a nice improvement of the performance of the ROM, specially the problem about the frozen screen is happening lesser. Stock keyboard is working better. Tomorrow I will see the battery duration.
