RELEASE for S3 Mini
CyanogenMod 12.1
New stable release (20160112) of CM12.1 for S3 Mini is available!
Please, test it and report any bugs!
For flashing Lollipop, we recommend you to install our TWRP recovery (available on Download page)!
Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!

Issues
- video taken by stock camera app is green, but some apps like Camu taking correct videos without any issues
- less than 2% of users are reporting issues with mobile data – just add new APN manually with settings proper for your provider and apply it to make 3G working

Wow development for this shitty device is still ongoing with the same bugs since first release of lollipop.. Guys who still have s3 mini. Just get a new device man..
Thank you Nova fusion for the support (I used to have this phone once) but it would be better to use ur skills on a more updated powerful device!!! This will make bugs much easier to solve and less bugs will come up as more can be done on a better device…

Using CM12.1 20160102 build since yesterday, everything seems to wor fine, except,… EXCEPT video recording. I have installed 15 different video apps but still green videos. Camu is laggy so unusable. What are the other working apps for video recording ? Will you solve that problem ? To be honnest, without video recording, a smartphone is not really smart ! Please can you advise ? Thanks for your work.

I need Radio not per Internet.
The S3 has a FM-Radio Modul.
I was support this Modul with a app
as always great work ! But i have some question: 1.i running your realase 20151114-can i update with this new version ? 2. i install your ROM with Odin and your Tutorials, but wenn i check root program Root Check say “This Galaxy S3 mini is not Rooted” – ???… how can i rooted my phone or what i did it wrong.. also got wireless problems after the device wakes up from sleep. especially when roaming in between. did not happen with the old firmware and does not happen with other devices

I think the camera – video recording will never be fixed
too many code changes from 4.4 and older dalvik runtime to 5.0 and newer Android runtime
My Camera works no green screen, but great Pics.
Just wondering when will stock camera bug be fix 🙁 but anyway its a great mod,maybe just more features,we like it when we can personalize it to extent

you are my first Cyanogenmod release ever to use – and it is great! The old S3 mini is fast once again – even with an up to date Android OS!
Tried several older versions of yours but 12.1 is running the smoothest for the moment.
Current issues I experience: charging is an act of randomness. Using mostly non-original chargers (power grid plug to micro USB) the device has problems starting to charge. Current workaround is to shut down the device, plug charger in and boot device.
I will try using an original Samsung USB cable (PC => microUSB) on Monday.

first off: thanks a lot! You are my first ever Cyanogenmod to use and up till now it is awesome! Finally the S3 mini is fast again! Really appreciate it!
As for you update with the charging, I am expiring further issues using non Samsung chargers and having random success in getting the phone to charge. The best workaround for most likely success is to shutdown device, connect to the charger and boot again.
I will try using the Samsung original cable on Monday and see if it is better.

AudioFX works laggy more then the old relaeses. When i lock the screen right or left headphone stops working while i press the power button again.
Not a lot people who document or test this CM – Will test it now…

To be fair, the S3 MINI is getting quite old now so people are losing interest, and there are better ROM’s than CM.

Here’s a tip for brazilian TIM carrier users: APN settings is wrong, it needs to be manually set:
Enter name: TIM Internet

MCC: 724
MNC: 04
Authentication type: PAP ou CHAP
APN type: default,supl
Then it shoud work just fine!
If this is true, that camera fix is to difficult to do and never will be done, I will switch back to stock systems. Its important for me, that the complete system works.
RAM uasge is not stable. Only play music and using another apps like twitter causes freezing a while than restart the systemUI
