Nice!
Great 🙂 What about WiFi GHz bug? Everytime I install new ROM the bug is there. Sometimes also when rebooting. Disable WiFi, reboot, enable and all is working.
Any ideas how to fix this?
I used nofrills to modify the cpu’s frequency
android tuner also has that feature
But I’m no expert so I don’t know if this is a good solution
Btw, nice offline charging animation 🙂 Love teddy bears *fg
Oh good! It’s a beautiful changelog!! Thanks!
where is the download ?
Finally videos don´t freeze!!! Thank you so much!!! PS: WTF is OMX???
Google it 🙂
http://www.omappedia.com/wiki/OMX_Android
It’s for passing multimedia content from source via OMX to end media (screen, audio, etc.).
* MPEG4 AAC decoder
* MPEG4 Video decoder
* H264 decoder
* JPEG decoder
* JPEG encoder
OMX are those drivers that make possible “freeze free” videos xD
Thnks 2 olivier for fixing video error and macraw for giving us the fix so fast!!!!!!
Yu are the best!
Everything is OK! 3G works for me flawlessly (CLARO CL) Thanks Maclaw Studio!
Please work in FM radio when you can :9
Thanks
Nice 😀
got some suggestions:
1. qr-codes in download section, would be much easier to download the rom directly to my phone
2. show battery in % while offline charging. (keep the panda!! :))
No problem for both 😉
Yeah, thanks maclaw team
already got 2 reboots -_-
Im having reboots, and no signal :S
You can use Spirit FM UnLimited
Hi thx for this release !!!
but i have one question ….
must i first wipe dalvik & cache and install second this custom firmware
or install first the firmware and second wipe dalvik & cache ??
the reason for my question is that all apps i have installed are not deletet in this new firmware.
But when i have install older firmwares all apps are deleted
mfg
Yup, I confirmed it. I hope this mystery will be revealed by Maclaw soon. 🙂
TDS : “Great 🙂 What about WiFi GHz bug? Everytime I install new ROM the bug is there. Sometimes also when rebooting. Disable WiFi, reboot, enable and all is working.
Any ideas how to fix this?” That’s the same for me ! How to fix it Maclaw ?
Maclaw i’m a huge fan of yours! Is it possible to add Sphere feature in the camera? Thank you for your amazing work!
Try Titanium Backup with root access! Insert sd card and change backup location in settings. Do full backup of user applications (no system ones). Save contacts, SMS, etc. with MyPhoneExplorer.
Wipe cache (a.s.o) and install this ROM. Reboot. Install MPE Client and Titanium Backup. Restore your apps and contacts, etc.
Btw, if you have an CM ROM already installed (min v10) then you don’t have to wipe, simple install it over.
Very big thanks for your work Maclaw!!!
Suggestion for battery improvement : why not make an menu in Mms.apk with black or white backscreen? Because Amoled screen is more economic with black no?…
(Sorry for my poor english)
Because it’s CyanogenMod…
I agrree with you, Nico, I use the ThyrusHolo Black theme for cyanogenmod which makes many things black (:
Hello!
After the instalation of this release the UI start to crash.
The videos apps (YT/Insta/Vine) work much better, but after a long long time the app stop working, like the usual.
Regards!
Two reboots and it freezes in lockscreen, so I needed to remove battery after freeze. Sorry for my english. Hotplug CPU pattern.
I ve changed to Interactive and no issues at the moment
i have the same problem only when i am using whatsapp
UI crash too much
where did you change that ?
Another crash. Here is a logcat of my device.
http://codeviewer.org/view/code:370f
I did a clean installation ..
The speakerphone does not work unfortunately, volume up and down should be!
This case is unique to me?
Before that I had with AOKP and had no problems!
I do not understand why so many problems with other testers, here is running smoothly.
Sorry for bad English!
Hi Maclaw, i couldn’t download new build, the link has problem, dowloading is stuck at 168,… MB. Help.
it should be something about 168 MB 😉
Try downloading using other browser or device
Got reboots some times, made a clean install 2 times. After every reboot i need to remove the battery because my phone get freezed. Any ideas?
I have a problem with the battery drain. It seem that a process named “copsdaemon” sometimes gets stuck and seems to be working even when i’m not using the device, i’d dare to say that the phone drains battery as if i was talking with someone. Maybe i hang up and the system doesn’t realize i ended the communication? Here’s a capture of problem, here the process copsdaemon used just a bit of battery because a made a battery charge and restart. Did this happen to anyone? http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4427/4126.png
Yep, this happened to me too, phone was stuck on wakelock and losts about 40% of battery. I’ve also discovered that copsdaemon process creates really big log file in /data/backup_cops.log (about 113MB in my case!), some rows looks interesting, mainly error in wakelock release:
COPS[1708]: cops_main.c:243 cops_setup(): Starting up
COPS[1708]: cops_wakelock.c:87 cops_wakelock_init(): Wakelock initiated
COPS[1708]: cops_wakelock.c:54 cops_do_wakelock_release(): write() errno=22 (Invalid argument)
COPS[1708]: cops_ipc_common.c:36 cops_ipc_context_create(): Got fd (6) for /dev/sec.
COPS[1708]: cops_main.c:159 main(): Entering main loop
the rest is filled with these 2 patterns:
COPS[1708]: cops_ipc_common.c:141 cops_ipc_context_handle_signals(): Received SIPC from fd = 6. Type = 0x14, length = 40
COPS[1708]: cops_router.c:170 cops_router_return_msg(): SIPC response sent to fd = 6. Type = 0x15, length = 110
and
SIPC response sent to fd = 6. Type = 0x15, length = 110
Received SIPC from fd = 6. Type = 0x14, length = 40
Radek
Here the same problem and without soultion. I’m sure that problem is caused for some geographical problem. It always die in the same place of the city.
Happend two times to me with different earlier versions of this rom. But couldn’t reproduce the bug. Problem was both times gone after reboot. Maybe a problem with the modem firmware or something like that. Didn’t change radio and it nearly always works:
#STE: Creating Modem Security daemon
service copsd /system/bin/copsdaemon
class modem-core
user root
the rom is very good maclaw! but please fix the error because tarry long youtube videos
Nice work!
I have a question though: there are 3 or 4 ROMS for S3 Mini. Can anyone tell me what are the differences between them?
Thank you!
Cyanogenmod is the base forl the other custom roms, it has nice features and is easy to use
AOKP is very very customizable, based on cyanogenmod, personally I feel overwhelmed by all the features
PAC promises to have the best from cyanogenmod, AOKP, paranoid android (a rom not available here) and from other one I don’t remember, I have never tried it
More info in the xda developers forums 😉
hi
just install this rom. everything looks ok except one thing. when i turn off button highlights (settings/advanced) they are still flashing from time to time (randomly). this is a little annoying and probably drain battery. can this be fixed ?
thanks
