Im really excited about this rim but i have 2 questions, first can i overclock and what frequenzy i bigest safe? And second do i have to wipe when coming from AOSP 4.4.2, will i loose my data ( gane files, apps ) ?
1Ghz is normal, but i wouldn’t reccomend overclock at all. Put to 1ghz and play music, lock screen and you see reasons.
I think…(maybe i’m wrong) that cpu gives too much data to process to ram and ram can’t handle
Clock isn’t working, and there is no swap memory option like in AOSP, any help?
When i say clock i think app clock (alarm etc) i cant set alarm…
Low in call volume when phone is in speaker mode.
after update i have spams of short messages (unreadable), how it fix (wipe cache don’t help)
I see that they are always with the topic of the networks LTE, but these phones are not 4G (that is to say LTE) but they are 3G, since very much they work with HDSUP, I do not understand the topic of the networks LTE
Hi. After installing I have no network.. i did a wipe and stiil no network..
I had the same problem.
Is this your first install or this problem occours just with this release?
If it’s the first:
Flash the lastest version of the baseband for your device(do full backup first!):
If you have a GT-I8190 (like mine):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658121
you need to flash only the first zip
If you have a GT-I8190N:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526831
(remember that the versions go alphabetically)
IMPORTANT: after flashing a new baseband you need to reboot twice, and wait after the second reboot.
This worked for me.
I’m sorry, linked for S3 mini, but the baseband update should work the same.
… DBT and preffered networktype is “LTE (recommended)”. Phone works. But seems there is still something wrong…
Still low volume in speaker mode. LEDs will continue to flash.
There’s something affecting battery’s life in this release.. It’s draining too fast, in comparison with older releases.
hi, is there any google apps for 4.4.2 gio 11 ?don’t find em in downloads
LTE in Ace 2?
I’m having an error on Youtube. it says that there was a problem with video playback even i disabled HQ. Here is the catlog log file: http://www35.zippyshare.com/v/32171859/file.html
In the log file i found an error it says that there are someting problems with H264 decode and some problems with .so files
Somebody have youtube playback problem?
i can’t recharge my phone in offline mode. it turns on again.
Make sure your phone is off first before you plug on charger
guys i have a problem.
im using 20140318 release and while i was downloading this one i had a missed call on viber. when i got to my s3 mini it had turned off. Battery was fully charged.
now i cant turn it on. i cant even enter download/recovery mode. when i plug in charger is does nothing too. like its dead.
Any ideas?
Since yesterday everything’s working. Phone, wifi, packet data, gps, camera. Though did a “clean data” for “camera application” preventively, before first run.
System seems a bit laggish than 20140309 release, although I have some power profiles (tasker / uv / oc / governors) and I have to look deeper into it.
You are absolutely right.
Everyone posts something like “can´t phone”, but nobody says where he is ..
btw where are you?
just throw it away and buy new phone. You flashed, your fail.
Others except you works. You should reflash modem firmware(better flash 4.1.2 JB firmware back and start over)
Thanks, thinking of buying a Sony Xperia — one “designed” / intended to be updated for KK — instead of having to put up all with all the rubbish people go through. Point — perhaps the ROM only works for those with i8160, and not variants — certainly not the i8160L — that would certainly explain the “network incompatibility” issues. This far South in NZ 4G isn’t an issue yet, but a proper 4G phone would be good for the future.
Hi
I am experiencing a problem since older releases. When I go to Apps menu and checking the installed apps one by one (e.g the cached data), after a while the phone simply restarting. Also I think there is problem with the free space counter as I experienced 200 MB free space gone away from one day to another.
Pls fix bln notification, for make sure that leds is fully disabled if i choose disabled
modem firmware bug? try to get full 4.1.2 JB package and flash it. then start over flashing.
One day I flashed my modem firmware off and i had to do so 😀
