For flashing KitKat, we recommend you to install our TWRP recovery (available on Download page)!

Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation (only from stock ROM).
If you’re updating from older CM10.1/10.2/11.0 version or migrating from Oliver’s CM, you don’t have to perform a wipe!

Hey there,
I’ve got two questions updating my CM 11.0 20140309 Version to 20140326.
First Question:
Can’t I update to actually newest version 20140326 over the Android Settings? Or have I update this manually?
Second question:
If I update it manually.. are my apps/data on the telephone lost? Is a wipe required?
Or can I install it, and all is as it was before?

well, after flash is saying no OS installed? anyone know whats causing? tried full wipe but still same problem
Try again with TWRP 2.7 same happened to me and it’s worked now I’ve switched from Clockwork ot TWRP.
right fixed it, if anyone else is having the same problem, make sure you aint flashing from an external sd card, i changed to flashing from internal sd card and now all works fine! much love maclaw
No problem here. I use sd card like always. When you say internal sd card, you mean the internal memory of the s3 mini?
I flashed from ext. SD card using TWRP. Working just fine.

Iam using clockworkmod recovery v6.0.2.7 and I had a set metadata recursive error how I fix my Fone won’t boot at all it goes back to recovery when boot

I have very big battery drain ;( 10% in 30min (i havent GHZ bug). OS android in information 40% :(. After full wipe same problem. Please, work on battery life

For now everything works.
The only thing that worries me is that while booting half he screen blinks with big green pixels.
I rebooted and it keeps doing it, but after the boot there are no problems, so it’s not a screen issue.
How to flash TWRP 2.7? When I unzip I get a .img file, not .tar. And Odin 2.7 doesn’t offer to flash .img files.

Didn’t work with TWRP 2.6.3.0 – neither for me or for some others in this thread.
Just flash the new TWRP zip over the existing TWRP recovery and it will be automatically updated to the latest version

That is the first thing I tried — flashing the TWRP zip file from the SD card by booting into TWRP, just like I’ve done a dozen times with the nightly CM11 builds.
I believe those who say this worked for them. I’m telling you it didn’t work for me. Others here have said the same thing.
BTW I’ve posted steps that *do* work for me using Odin, after preparing a tar.md5 file. Comment is awaiting moderation for some reason.

I forgot to tell, it does work but first you need to enable the on-the-go mode using some modified USB cables

Did you provide external power to your devices or just pluged them into the phone ?
I just plugged the USB OTG directly to the phone. Then I plugged in my USB Drive . The LED indicator is blinking but it won’t mount the filesystem. I opened the USB Host Controller and there are no devices detected 🙁

Ok here is what I did:
1) download TWRP 2.7 for S3 mini from novafusion
2) Unzip TWRP and find the recovery.img file.
3) move that file to a linux machine or cygwin environment.
4) execute the following:
tar -H ustar -c recovery.img > recovery.tar
md5sum -t recovery.tar >> recovery.tar
mv recovery.tar recovery.tar.md5
5)Download the latest Odin (3.07) from novafusion and unzip it.
6) execute Odin3 v3.07.exe
7) proceed according to these instructions except select the md5 file you created above:

I think that only works if you already have a new enough version of TWRP.

I tried the USB OTG, but USB OTG doesn’t work!!, because I have USB OTG, with the galaxy note 3 and xperia S does work, but the update does not work that went.

I have same problem. But for me, reinstalling gapps didnt help. I downloaded gapps from here, install in recovery, wipe cache and dalvik and still Play Store gives me No connection… any sugestions?

Compass works for me in GPS Status application after last update of this app. It seems that the problem was in application, not in system, so you should try update your app, or try another one.

But I did have a problem with BLN fixed by changing backlight from disabled to 1 second in settings\buttons menu
Great update buddy but i found a problem :
1. Cant upload video to instagram
2. Missing CPU profile on performance setting
3. Cant use CWM to Flash this update
4. HW+ still not working on CM11

Serious battery problems :S discharged at night, pluged in charger , 4 hours later have 8% , rebooted and now have 100% any one else with this problem?
There was no ODIN package update :c it’s still 0323

CM11 now is way better than 10.2 in every aspect. I really think you should use it. I have no problems at all.

Hi there, I too noticed this problem, its basically happening when you have shuffle on and then try and listen to previous song… take it off shuffle and it works like magic.
I had to swap to google play music which is actually much better!! (apart from themes)
play music also allows to upload your library to internet (cloud) up to 20,000 and listen to any device/pc away from home via internet…

But from stock to any CM you should wipe, just make backup first so you don’t lose apps and everything…

As for the 0324 date… I’m guessing this is a function of the size of the update and the new web site rollout… so a multi-day build. I do think this is the newest and contains the improvements claimed in the release notes.
The rear camera is no working just say the procces camera.android crash

What does repdroduccion means?
1GHZ bug is eating battery, most of the time minimum frequency changes from 200mhz to 1000mhz

OTG can’t use！
AFter flashing the lastest rom which is 20140326. “ok goggle” commands is no longer woking. ): I hope to change this. 20140319 was nice. Everything works fine.. I shouldn’t flash the lastest rom which is 20140326.. Regret.

Personally I don’t want my mini to use resources always listening for the OK Google voice command…

Check if the notification volume is linked to the ringtone volume. Try disabling this, and see if the notification volume is set to zero. I experienced this the first time I updated to the re-branded NovaFusion ROM.
You can then revert to the “linked” setting as before, and check if notification sound is working.

1st post, so i first want to thank you guys for trying and making all these roms.
2nd. i have tried many roms, all with full wipes (except efs). i tried cm11 4.4.2 and carbon lately. multiple versions in multiple ways. flashed new modem after many sudden reboots on both versions.
tried latest versions every time too. tried different recoveries. also used and still use latest 27.0.0.0 release of recovery.
In carbon and this cm11 rom i read that sudden reboots and battery are fixed (or i misread impliciation, which is possible..).
i get that you guys are trying to fix it and i thank you for it, not complaining!
i want it to be clear that i test roms methodicly and always first by following instructions. after that i try stuff out on xda for further instructions an latsst files.
i never had any efs or other trouble before or after (but after re-pit i did offcourse).
but after flashing 1st carbon i had to re-pit and re-param to get it booting at all. after carbon (februari) button combo didnt work to get in to cwm. flashed button fix. result> no-go. Tried everything to get cwm and then twrp. Nothing worked. So i 1st tried param. It booted a little further but still nothing else (this was before re-pit). then (pc-odin) repitted and flashed param with pit (without repartitin). and recovery (again maclaw twrp) with pit, also without repartition ofcourse.
tried different maclaw cm11’s and carbons from this website, no other before or after.
And as i said i wiped clean and follow 1st time boot – shutdown instructions, like disabling wifi and such.
Anyway, now i tried latest march 23 carbon and march 27 cm11 4.4.2.
cm1 and carbon fail after i install gapps 4.4.2 (latest release And 2013 4.4.2. release. signed and unsigned version if available. no luck. still sudden reboots and misreads of battery (except in 27.0.0 recovery! which seems to read it correct!).
tried pa-gapps yesterday. after clean install cm11. worked fine, just like carbon. changed/disabled some options that use location and wifi, so wifi and location are less asked.
>> after disabling some wifi options; like always on to only if wifi was on already, and diabeling wifi-power-safe and some other in same menu >> rom crashes hard.
so its not fixed yet! its the same on my i8190 since my first 4.4.2 cm11 and carbon tries.

1. My menu lights don’t go off when i get notifications. Only clearing notifications fixes it.

Battery life is very short. With 3G connection it’s about 1% every 2-3 minutes. ><
When I open Gallery and change the photos, the process media.android stops. And I experienced several times the system rebooting after navigating on Waze (GPS on).

Hello, I have a problem, please help me. I have s3 mini and I installed latest CM11, I can´t put google account in my phone. I don´t have it nowhere in settings, There are accounts, but no choice for google account, so I cant use google apps, like play,callendar,gmail, etc.. and I cant put my phone in manufacture settings, because when I do it, I reboot and my keyboard isnt working (I figured it out by downloading it on computer and put it on sd card by USB, but this is after I rejected google account Sign in. please help me
