I can’t found how install it without ODIN. I already installed this ROM one week old, but now would like install new on top and if I installing from ODIN then need also install google apps on top. Plz tell me some easy way upgrade it.

I install the ROM but when I install the GAPPS says it has no space in the phone memory model:18190L
Go to mount and the select system.
After that you can install the gapps normally
I had the same problem and solved it by reinstalling the stock rom and then the cm rom. Good luck.

Happy Birth Day! I have a problem in this release. Afther the installation my phone reboot again and again…. I updated the gaps and wiped the cache too. I think the reboot problem there is when I try to run the runtastic program….

Hi,
would appreciate if anyone will share his knowledge about SELinux’s pros and cons.
All I found was that “SELinux was initially developed by the National Security Agency and became part of the Linux kernel in August 2003, yet is just now being added to Android( since 4.3).”
SELinux means the options we have to decide for every program if it can read my location/contacts and so on? so disabling it means I won’t be able to do that anymore?

In layman’s terms, SElinux prevents a process from accessing files or other resources that it is not specifically labeled as available to the process. That means if a process is hacked (even one running as root), the damage it can do is limited to only those resources, not everything on the phone. That is a very good thing.
The current implementation is a work in progress. It is currently only enforcing policy on some key processes that run as root in your phone. Other processes are being monitored onlly (permissive mode) at this time. The policy will be enhanced over time to restrict more processes. As it currently stands, it will block some existing malware attacks.
Note, the ability to swap SELinux from enforcing to permissive without a reboot is a gaping hole. Anything that app can do, a malicious app can also do. Eventually, as I understand it, policy will further restrict so that this transition can only occur in the init process. That’s already the case in Samsung Knox, i think. That’s why the SElinux mode changer app doesn’t work in Knox. However, you should be able to provide equivalent functionality in recovery or as a prompt during the boot process.
When fully enforcing, SElinux may make flashing a bit more cumbersome. It’s the typical tradeoff between strong security and convenience.
BTW, the battery impact of SElinux is negligible. I’m getting < 2% battery drain per hour in standby mode with SElinux in enforcing mode, on the 8/23 image.

Since you enabled SELinux and after few hours from flashing your rom, I lose root access, mobile signal and the ability to connect to wifi, even reboot is not helping, I need to re-flash your rom again to fix it, and even if I disable SELinux, after few hours it’s automatically enabled and same problems again and again. Is this behavior is related to SELinux enabled?
I experienced a similar issue with the mobile signal: On a spot where I get a HSDPA signal for sure, I get a GPRS signal now. That is a weird thing. But my WiFi seems to be a little better, beside that S3 mini has a naturally weaker WLAN module than its bigger brother.
Maybe a kernel thing?

Sorry but I found out that I’m facing the above problem after using this app from Waxrain Tech. “DLNA/UPnP Sender-Airpincast” since I use it to cast my screen to Apple TV. This was not the case before you enabled SELinux. Can you please look in to this?
You don’t need the SELinux, you can get the same by using the Xprivacy Module in Xposed.

I have some weird reboots while using internet, over 3g o wifi, the phone suddenly reboots itself and the battery it shows a very low porcentage and the 1ghz is present. I have to remove battery and wait a moment for the battery to get cooler, afte that battery is normal again. This never happen on older releases

Regresando al stock ROM ultimamente se volvio inestable y mas con aroma installer que en este caso al menos aun no sirve para nada mas que para trabar el telefono en el boot logo y no queda mas que reinstalar la stock rom. Ahora me doy cuenta que va mas fluida la stock rom ya lo habia olvidado. Espero vuelva a ser buena esta rom de cm11 y volver mas adelante a flasheatla. De momento mi stock rom y xposed framework me va de maravilla

sorry, a lot of restarts, my wife will killing me ;-), because the original Firmware was much better but only 4.1.2.
All our phones (sgsII, Desire S and Archos 97b) have 4.4.4, so i tried to install this Rom.

I’ve been going round and round for days now trying to get 2-way call recording to work on my device. Finally I’ve been directed on XDA to my “device maintainer” which I guess is you… 🙂
I hope this is indeed the right place to ask this…
In short – call recording works only via the mic. I tried many programs (including Xposed module EnableCMCallRecording, which it’s developer referred me here). It’s crucial to me to record calls (and also legal in my country). It worked perfectly when I was using stock ROM with modified SecPhone.apk.
I’m using the latest version – 11-20140823-UNOFFICIAL-golden) on my Samsung S3 Mini.
Is there any way to enable it?

You can not. android since the first version of cm11 which contains android 4.4x removed the FM radio. is not the fault of the development team is the version of android, you try to install spirit fm

la aplicación Servicios de Exchange es una aplicación del sistema, en la cual se pueden configurar cuentas de correo de todo tipo en nuestro móvil. al parecer en el momento que realizaste la instalación del release esta no se instalo correctamente, puedes hacer lo siguiente: con root explorer en la carpeta raíz luego en System si se encuentra la app correo y eliminarla, conseguirte la apk correo que se encuentra en el archivo zip de nuestro release descargado y luego volverla a pegar en system.
la otra y mas fácil es reinstalar el release realizando los correspondientes wipes, puedes deshabilitar la opción reiniciar que sale al terminar el aroma installer y realizar los wipes normalmente
ese tipo de errores aparecen mucho cuando hay aplicaciones del sistema que no se encuentran instaladas en la carpeta system, lo cual si se encuentran instaladas fuera de esta funcionan de forma inestable

Everything seems to work fine exept for the following :
1. When turning Phone off while charging phone restarts instead of turning off (old bug has been doing this for a long time already).
2. Phone does not charge off-line. A circle appears and freezes. The only way to charge the phone is while it is on (this is new).

Finally SIM Toolkit is back! No new updates of my ROM until one month.
ISSUE:
This is a really annoing issue, not sure it’s a ROM issue.
I choose to keep my contacts on the phone itself, away from Google, Facebook, WhatsApp and any other app that mixes and syncs contacts.
BUT, and this happened more than once, when I install a app that syncs contacts (last time was linkedin), the local contacts database (phone) gets cleaned out and I lose all my contacts.
Tryed all contacts options (show, hide, sync…) and I can’t get them back. They were wiped!
Is this normal? Well, can’t be as with the stock rom I had no issues. Anyone had this problem too?

I’ not shure if this is the correct place for bug reporting, but i don’t know where to report it.
I’m having lots of trouble encrypting my device. When the proces is “finished” my password didn’t umblock it. That happened with f2fs filesystems in data, cache and system patitions. And using ext4 filesystem in the same partitions it didn’t even begin the process.

1) Donde se puede configurar para que los SMS no se corten cada 70 caracteres? en la Stock rom hay una opcion para cambiarle la codificacion de los mensajes pera en esta no puedo encontrar la solución.
2) Ya probe la Spirit FM pero no me funciona, soy de Argentina y no se si tiene que ver con las frecuencias. Alguno pudo resolver ese tema?

En cuanto a spirit fm creo que tienes instalada la versión de play store la cual es muy limitada, si es así te paso el link de la versión desbloqueada, no olvides dar los permisos de superusuario.

If you habe the 1gHz bug you will notice that your battery drains REALLY fast.
Go check your battery in settings. Click on the diagramm and see if your phone is active all the time.
There is an app called CPU Spy. Try that and see if your device runs on 1Ghz most of the time.
If that´s the case. Reboot with wifi off!
Google+ is not working with this version.

at frist, great work, thanks a lot!
but with this update I notced that my battery life got worse. after checking for the reason i found out that the Prozessor is always on 1000Mhz. It keeps up on this level with every Governor exept the Powersafe. But this one sucks 😛
The active Apps are the usual one ( Calendar, Google Play , and so on nothing curious. ) When i Check what is discharging the battery the highest point by far is the Anroid OS.
So have anyone an Idea what could be the reason?

Battery drain on 3G is very bad. Battery is empty after 8 hours standby.
Not for me. Maybe you are in a weak signal area.
Signal was good. Handy was sometimes very hot. But cpu usage was low and Internet traffic was also low.
Maybe 1000mhz bug? Mine uses less than 2% per hour when sitting in my pocket. 3G on, wifi off, battery saving location service. I’m using conservative cpu governor and noop scheduler, but that shouldn’t make much difference when the phone is idle.
How an I locate the 1 GHz bug? Current cpu Speed is 200 MHz.
You mentioned the phone getting hot. That sounds like it’s stuck at 1000 mhz. Maybe that only occurs under certain conditions? I don’t know. Maybe you have some apps running in the background that are demanding excessive cpu. You could try going into TWRP, wiping cache and davlik, and then rebooting (and maybe rebooting a second time) to make sure you have a clean starting point. I’m not sure what else to suggest.
I have some times this problem, the “system android” uses 99% of cpu and turn the phone hot.
If you have a taskmanager, can see this, but don’t try to kill the process. don’t waste your time. Simply, turn off the wifi and the 3g, reset the phone, wait uno or two minutes to complete the start. ant turn on your wifi and/or 3g.
With this release i habe some Problems.
The biggest is: Phone reboots when i want to make a call. For a phone, its a big bug 😉 Sometimes it reboots without something is done. Not very stabile. I go back to the last known good one. But THX for your work. I like cyanogen.
When I turn the screen off and turn it on suddenly, the display gets stuck (the screen doesn’t turn on).

Bug: When the phone is connected to the charger:
1 – The phone does not turn off, to give the command “deligar” it restarts.
2 – The phone will not turn on, it restarts.
3 – When the lights receive notifications of buttons and lights do not dim.
Note: The bug only happen! When it connected to the charger or USB cable.

The phone got sometimes hot, but only on 3G. On WLAN the battery drain is much better.

Hello, USB OTG support have a problem with micro usb flash drive, when I connect the usb flash drive, the battery charging icon is activated, when I disconnect the battery charging icon is always active as if charging but nothing is connected. To solve a problem I restart the phone but the battery charge begins to be consumed faster as if something had activated and it consumes battery

My battery has died while trying otb wtih different devices (mp4, flash memory, keyboard and mouse)
Installed this version and all I got was a systemUI crash, lockscreen crash and a flashing wallpaper. I can’t use my phone with this version installed. Please help. Already wiped partition cache.
I think most of us would appreciate to know if the battery drain we are experiencing is from a bug, or we have to do something else. I’ve been struggling with this problem for like a week now and I can’t really use my phone. Hope someone can help us with some options to improve battery. Thank you!

1 – Para maior duração da bateria instale a Rom com o SElinux desabilitado.
2 – Após instalada a Rom calibre a bateria. ( existem varios metodos para calibração de bateria, pesquise na internet. )
tips:
1 – For longer battery life install the Rom with SELinux disabled.
2 – Once installed the Rom calibrate the battery. (There are various methods for calibrating battery, search the internet.)

How can I change default download storage location from browsers and Google Play with this ROM? I find instructions online to go to Menu > My Files or Settings > Storage but neither of those shows up here. Storage only shows me available amount and doesn’t give options to change location. My Files just isn’t there.

This Aroma Installer damage the symlinks, (f2fs)
I must flash to Stock, (bootloop).
and install V 0508 … (this works fine!)
I try updating to 2308.. and now the bootloop again (I8190).
Aroma installer ignore >>> Keep the Current… <<<

Big problems !!!
My phone has been loosing energy worse than an iPhone….I let it shut yesterday morning with 60%….and after 2-3 hours….i saw that it showed me 45%….
Not to mention that the battery life itself os horrible….and i used pegasusq+sio….and now (because of need) i use conservative+cfq

I’m gonna move to Carbon or a custom.stock rom till these issues are fixed :]

i know its hard to wait for bug fix but there was still no need to call someone a liar, juat coz you have that bug and quite a few others doesnt mean he has. plus if thats your only bu be happy.
