Hey guys, I have a strange problem here. After switching on CM 11.0 again from AOSPA, I’m getting a strange bug everytime i turn on my phone. After booting on, on the PIN-insert screen my phone writes “Unfortunately, Themes provider has stopped” and it wont just go away. Any ideas? (Only CM 11.0 is doing this to me).

  • Eren says:

Is there a 1 GHz bug and clock freeze, battery draining????

  • Emalude says:

Thank you very much! Please fix SIM toolkit and car charging before so we can have fully working CyanogenMod 11. Best team ever

    • WhiteWolfSix says:

I have never had a car charging issue and have no SIM toolkit issue in this release. Try clean installation for solving your problems.

      • Emalude says:

Mmm even after clean installation car charging start sound app and don’t charge. Sim toolklit never seen in NovaFusion releases even clean installed. In other unofficial cm11 devices it works.

        • PaBLo.M says:

I don’t think car charging is a bug in the ROM. I had the same problem, but tried diferent USB cables until I found one that worked fine in the car

        • John.... says:

Sim Toolkit works fine for me in this release. Too many other bugs though. If this build is now abandoned in favor of the essentially non-funcional Lollipop I’ll just go back to rooted stock.

  • Eren says:

I try and see there is a 1 Ghz bug,so back the previous version(26.10.2014) AND STILL 1GHZ BUG,please help me if it is from my vault.if isn’t,please fix it

  • alvaro_cc says:

which one is fluider and has got better autonomy this release or rom stock? thnx

  • AstroMega says:

    Android Lollipop !! Getting exiciting
Do you think our device can work easily 5.0 ?

  • Guilherme Klisman says:

The Android L is placed on the CM 11 , or does everything come again? and the continued bugs in Android L ?

  • Heinrich says:

Does this rom support device encryption? When I try to encrypt my device, the green robot will come up, but nothing else will happen.

  • george says:

    What is 1ghz bug?

  • Cesar Piau says:

I had no 1Ghz bug, no battery draining and no freeze clock until now.

  • nico666x says:

Google announced the Android 5.0 Lollipop a couple of days back and we’re already hearing news from various Android manufacturer partners for their Android 5.0 Lollipop update schedule. Major companies like HTC and Motorola announced their update plans right after a few hours of Google’s announcement, while Sony took a day to announce its update plans.

However, Samsung hasn’t said a single word yet on their Android 5.0 update schedule. Usually, Samsung updates its flagship devices to newer Android version between 90-120 days but we’re yet hear Samsung’s plan for the Lollipop update.

It generally takes 60-90 days for manufacturers to push update for the latest Android version after Google announces it. But that’s only the case for flagship devices, for non-flagship ones, companies take well over 90 days and sometimes don’t even update the other devices.

However, according to Google Android 5.0 update can run well on devices with 1GB RAM and dual-core or a quad-core processor. And almost all mid-end to high-end devices sold in 2013 and 2014 have this configuration so unless your manufacturer sucks, you can expect the Lollipop update for your Android devices released in 2013 or 2014.

If you’ve a Android device released before 2013, then even after being compatible (hardware-wise), your device may not get the Android 5.0 update officially. Because generally devices are only enrolled for Android updates for upto 18 months since release. But thanks to the massive community of independent developers on Android, you’ll most probably get the Android 5.0 update for your old Android device by the means custom ROMs based on AOSP. Popular examples of such custom ROMs are CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android, OmniROM, etc.

You forgot to copy&paste the rest of the original article, including all those beautiful and lengthy tables.

      • nico666x says:

There is always a jerk and today is you. I put copy and paste the MOST Relevant

        • RGoldBR says:

In my book, “jerk” definition encompasses “someone who grabs someone else’s work and do not give due credit”, case you didn’t grasp (or pretend not having grasped) the essence of my comment — and this is “jerkiness” too.

        • nico666x says:

and you that you laugh? You’re also a stupid?

          • bigD says:

            can i join hahahaha haaaaaaaaa

          • txemafocus says:

          • Habanero says:

            Hahaha, calm down guys! 😀

          • txemafocus says:

          • RGoldBR says:

So you insist you are a victim, just because you suffered from some irony blindness.

For what is worth, I’m not claiming to be better than anyone, as your ill-mannered wording try to depict. But you may rest assured I’m well above average when it comes to intellectual property concerns. Maybe because I’m a gray haired journalist, maybe because I’ve had a 30+ years career in the IT scene, maybe both.

Being so, I consider stealing (yes, this is the right word here) intellectual property to be most despicable. All in all, up till now I’ve made my living with software writing, journalism writing and imagery handling – it’s easy to see why I stress that stealing intellectual property is wrong. In some countries Law sees it the same way.

Although you argue that “no necesito dar creditos a nadie por ese texto ya que es solo informacion publica”, some people may dispute that, mainly Shivam, the original intellectual owner of the work he posted at TheAndroidSoul. Just go to the bottom of that page (http://www.theandroidsoul.com/android-5-0-lollipop-update-schedule-samsung-htc-sony-motorola-manufacturers/) and read the caveat again:

“NOTE: You are NOT allowed to copy/paste the contents of this page. You can only link to this page to share any information available here.”

Irony is that initially I thought you had written the article, so I did some googling to find where you were posting your texts.

The bottom line is: always cite the author of an original work, otherwise people may think you are the author. That simple.

            Have a nice life.

        • nico666x says:

    • bigD says:

always state where you copied the text and always give credit to author

    • James says:

You copypasted an outdated article lmao

  • […] It may not have official support but Novafusion enabled USB OTG on the S3 Mini in Cyanogenmod. http://novafusion.pl/2014/11/01/rele…0-s3-mini-261/ […]

Ok?

  • Amedeo says:

I usualy use 2G mode and mobile data active obliuvsly in edge modality.
There is a problem when I reboot system, because every time also I have 2G mode active, the mobile data switch in HSPA.

I confirm a problem with SIM, my operator or provider is Vodafone – omnitel from Italy.
I can’t see the conctat in sim with the default sim toolkit.

I hope you can resolve the issue with auto brightness in future.

    Good Look

    • mamiho says:

Autobrightness won’t be fixed because we don’t have light sensor.

      • Amedeo says:

OK, i’m sorry, I didn’t known about light sensor… but the mobile data that switch from edge to hspa every systems reboot is a issue that could be solved. 🙂 I think is a software’s issue.

And also the hot spot… that when active freeze the phone and i had to reboot every time.

        • Amedeo says:

Also the problem that make impossible to reboot when to phone is in recharge…

however the guys of nova fusion team make a wonderful job everyday, WE HAVE ONLY TO APPRECIATE THEIR WORKs AND HELP.

  • Luiz Renato Zanoni says:

The bugs are happening when the phone is connected to power or usb cable computer.
1 – When the phone is connected it does not shut down, it restarts.
2 – When the phone is off, he does not care.
3 – When the phone is connected to power, to receive notifications of buttons turn lights off and no lights.

  • mamiho says:

I have nothing to complain about, it’s probably the best release since ever. Good performance and battery life, all bugs that shouldn’t be here are fixed (at least on my device), and it’s all stable. Thanks a lot guys!

  • Ivo says:

  • Hi NovaFusion. First give you congratulations for this good project.

I have a problem with the new releases, the boot_logo (s3-mini logo) has missing and, in the boot, the device don’t show any boot_logo before the Cyanogenmod logo.

    Thanks

    • Ricardo Díaz says:

Just flash the bootlogo, is in the download section of this page and restart the phone! If it not show, flash again! I had the same problem one time and i solved by that way! Sorry, my english is not very good…

  • enri1013 says:

Hi, please anyone can tell me which is the best rom for s3 mini? I tried carbon months ago, but I had battery drain issues. I would like to know which is the most stable rom, which have the best performance, battery life, etc etc, and also that don’t reset constantly (specially when battery’s phone is under 5% haha).
    Thanks for your answers.

    • Bunbu Barish says:

The last releases have great performance, making a clean install, the battery it’s like the Stock rom, maybe a little bit better with moderate use.
I used the last CM Rom!

      • enri1013 says:

Hey bro, how did you installed the rom? I choose all options where appeared f2fs, that’s bad? Also I can’t install gapps 🙁

  • Laurent says:

I’m having huge battery problems: after reboot or power-up (after shutdown) my battery drop 10-20% down. When I reboot or power-up with my phone in the charger, it jumps the same amout up. Also, I frequently come in bootloop, only resort is to pull the battery and restart the phone.

Any of you have the same issue? On a previous release the phone is fine.

  • Dexter says:

    can’t wait for the release!!

  • rien10 says:

Is this rom the most stable/best of all CM11?

    • mamiho says:

For me it is. But the only way to check is to simply check it by yourself. There is many people which aren’t that happy as me, as for them it isn’t stable.

  • Blackshark says:

Are the RIL and mobile data working good ?

  • enri1013 says:

I can’t install gapps!! somebody help me please 🙁 I tried many gapps (stock, micro, etc) I’m scared

  • Matthias says:

Anyone else seen this? I got a GT-I8190N but when I installed cyanogenmod 11 earlier this year it switched the model to GT-I8190.

Also, my device never seems to find any updates, I manually flash the newer versions manually…

  • Geo says:

  • mikaelec says:

I can’t get 2g/3g to work at all. (I recently tried out another ROM, then switched back, and since then it has not worked). Can anyone tell me what went wrong and how to fix it?

  • Pieter W says:

Is there any place where I can post some complains etc? I guess I’ll post them here. If I have to post them somewhere else, please redirect me.

    1. When I restart my phone, some apps disappear from my home screen and then I have to put them back on it, it’s pretty annoying.
    2. When I have charged my battery the screen freezes (on a “loading screen)”, I can’t restart my phone or anything, so I have to remove the battery and put it back in.
    3. When changing the brightness, it’s standard on “AUTO” (the icon is a sun). You can click on “AUTO” and then the icon of the sun changes to a sun with an A inside for a millisecond. I don’t know if this is supposed to be like that, but I thought it could be a bug.

If I find more bugs/things that can be improved, I will post them here (or on a q&a section of the site but I don’t know where that is).
    I hope this helps

  • Pablo V says:

  • Ilha de Tavira says:

Thanks you guys, this is awesome! No 1GHz bug, battery last about 2 days, and no clock freeze whatsoever. The sound recorder crashes when trying to record wave files (I personally use another app to do that, so I don’t really care). Best release ever.

  • Killer says:

What about NFC? When CM will support it?

  • Rejith says:

I need to thank novafusion for creating these awesome releases for our S3Mini s, which no else one cares enough about.

    I am using 20141101 release.
While charging while phone is off, screen freezes in the first animation. When I disconnect charger, the display stays the same and does not turn off in the whole process. Then I have to remove battery or hold power button all the time. This is one issue.

The main issue being the battery. After fully charging the draining is not that fast even though it is faster than stock 4.1.2 was. but once it is below 60-50% it seems that charge drops too fast.

We should to be able to charge the battery is a acceptable amount of time. Charging is so darn slow. Very frustrating.

With the slow charging and explosive drain, the phone is being not much usable. I am having to connect it to charger, when ever i get chance and this can cause problems fr the battery.

    Please advise.
