!!! On the main download page the last version of CM12.1 is still “20150412” and needs to be changed into 20150420″. If anyone gets confused…cliccking the 20150412 you’ll get the last (20150420) right download. Thx for the great job buddies!!! Keep up the excellence!!!

Hey man, my proximity sensor is broken, so i can’t make a phone call without bugs. So i installed Xposed module: disable proximity sensor. Works like a charm.
There is a problem with Whatsapp and Telegram voice notes recording. It won’t work at all. Also when I was downloading GAPS in download page, I found that the gapps xda post was closed. We are waiting for a milestone release with wide changelog like the old times on cm11. I remember, this team was working hard on cm11, we were receiving a new release with increased chanelog, sometimes every night. It wish we would get more enhanced releases more often. Even all that, always thank you novateam. I know that, If you would not be there, we would be using stock rom..

It’s already rooted.. you’ve to allow the permissions in the developer options tho
I can’t find the Developer Options in Settings, therefore i can’t use the root-option in CM.

Fix FC dialer while calling. It is the BASIC function of a phone. It should get top priority. And the low volume in call sound patch didnt work well, it just a little bit louder than before. I expect this issuse will be fix soon.

if you want to get your problem fixed, why don’t you try to check what YOU can do to reach it instead of demanding someone else to do it for you – that’s how FOSS works
or if you don’t know how ask somebody in a polite way whether he/she could do anything about it and invest his/her free time in your problem

i´d be happy enough if i´d have the TWRP Menue again, that i need to install the cyanogenmod rom
Enter download mode by pressing same buttons as in recovery, only change vol+ to vol-. Now youre able to connect your phone to Odin. Try to reinstall TWRP. 😀 Hope, I could help.

re-install of TWRP via ODIN didnt work – still the same.
but now i found a solution:
i flashed with odin following here:

after that i got download mode again and installed the custom rom file with Odin
after tis i got a twrp boot menue again.
then installed cm rom with odin a second time.
– device works again !!!
Reinstall the original ROM from SamMobile with ODIN and your phone will work again.
I spend the same, what you do is reinstall the original recovery of google from odin, after that it will be reset and will return to start normally, then come back to install TWRP recovery.

Last time I tried cyanogenmod, I think it was version cm10 or 11 I did not get the physical buttons to work. Are those working in this release? Since I did not like to use the virtual buttons on a phone that has real buttons…
F2fs system problem
Thanks nova for great rom, i just have a minor problem and its that the volume is much quieter compared to stock rom. I’ve tried finding a file called mixer_paths.xml so i could increase the volume but no luck. Is there a similar file that does the same thing? Thanks 🙂 keep up the good work.
Used the phone until the battery died. When i plugged in the charger, the phone restarted, and it optimized the apps again just like the first boot after flash. Could someone explain why?
I also noticed when browsing using Chrome, the display becomes distorted for a while, then becomes ok afterwards. I updated the Chrome and it lessened but its still there.
Is it also possible to change how the capacitive button backlight responds? They light up even if the screen is touched, compared to stock ROM wherein the backlight lights up only when you touch the capacitive buttons. It may help conserve battery juice.

I upgraded from stock to CM12 to CM12.1. No wipe from CM12 to CM12.1
Your instructions on how to upgrade are very clear. I was worried I may brick my phone but it didn’t.
Transitions and animations are buttery smooth compared to CM12.

Hello , i have this issue in my first work on the ROM , you should be go to settings , app , all , phone , clear data and cash after that reboot phone , if see this again do that even it fix .
Version I8190N. Installed yesterday from recovery. Been using rooted orig firmware but I bought BLE HR belt and had to upgrade. Seems to work fine. FM radio missing –> Spirit1 works, not Spirit2. Had to find gapps –> pa_gapps-modular-micro-5.1-20150315-signed.zip worked. UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46 needed to be installed from recovery.
Noticed only two problems so far
1. Didn’t charge when connected to computer usb3 –> battery went to 0% – it said that it was charging but obviously it wasn’t. Orig fw could charge from usb3 while using it.
2. F-Secure Freedome vpn blocks all connections, it even blocks itself. It connects ok but after that nothing gets through. Orig fw Freedome & AFWall+ worked together fine.
Any suggestions should I downgrade – more stable/working version that supports BLE? Haven’t really find any comparisons what is the “best version” – usually it’s not the latest.

Still having APN issues (both on the reases on the 12th and 20th).
What happens is I’m unable to add them (even using the recommended APN changing apps).
Phone just returns “Access Point Names are not available for this user”.
In dev.options I have apps set to Root but not ADB. I’m going to play with other users/profiles…
Crashes incoming calls.
Call volume is still low.

I’m facing this issue too. The app crashes every time I reach a video clip. So frustrating.
When I try to add a new APN I get this error:
“APN Settings are not available for this user” 🙁 what I have to do?

Now I saw that the links were deleted – does any of you have a link to the nano/pico google apps package?

How ? When entering APN Menu point it says something like “This User is not allowed to change APN Settings”
Also, the Alarm Clock is muted … volume is at maximum.

Hello! Only you should do a clean cache and dalvik cache. Then install the ROM and the GAPS and again clean cache and dalvik cache. No data was lost!
please help, i brought a s3 mini gt i 8200n i thought that the downloads from here would work the same. i tried to install usin odin but all it did was brick my phone {!!! i thought that as there was no warning i thought it would work the same. any thoughts ion what to do with this bricked phone please pass them on. thank u .#john
hello jhon, :/ yes that it should be brick ur phone because these ROMS it just for gt-i8190 versions it don’t for gt-i8200 so search the stock rom original for ur model and install it with odin ( search in Samsung firmware)
the really bugs i have in the rom and i can’t fixed is the screenCast ( recording screen) don’t work, I’ve tried many apps but no o e of thele work it just crach the phone and you need to reboot
The problem of the call crashes is the proximity sensor, so you can try the app “Auto Screen on off (Smart Cover” https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.danielkao.autoscreenonoff&hl=es_419
Check the opción “Enable” Screen on/off automatically
Then tap “which apps to exclude”
Select all dialer app you use. In my case stock phone app and Hello app (the new facebook dialer app)

Half-work screen. Sometimes don’t work touchscreen. Charging bug. Call bugs. Slow work light sensor. Slow work apps, such as maps, browser (sometimes crash) & games.
