Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!

Issues
- video taken by stock camera app is green, but some apps like Camu taking correct videos without any issues
- less than 2% of users are reporting issues with mobile data – just add new APN manually with settings proper for your provider and apply it to make 3G working

I can’t wait to see something like Aroma Installer so it’s more easy to me use f2fs and don’t have to change it every time I install an update of the rom.
How about its performance compared to CM11?
Felipe is more fun, I am already use it for dayly purpose.
It has some problems yet but I like to be part of a developing proget. I always keep a complete backup of my last CM11 that I used in my SD card if I find too many problems. Wipe what I need to wipe and restor

As requested in the topic, here are my bugs
– Bad French layouts
– Bad French translation due to Cyanogenmod
– BLN Control doesn’t work, due to Novafusion kernel, apparently
– Flashlight Long on-time.
– Flashlight crashes when toggle several times… it is impossible to switch it off and then the S3Mini must be rebooted
– No EAP-SIM
– Sometimes when I turn on the screen, the touch doesn’t work.
– Battery drains so fast !

fm radio no working
normal. radio is exist only stock rom, can’t find in the firmwares like that. try spirit Ul if u wanna use radio
Use Spirit1 (there is a closed (?) beta for Android Lollipop), Spirit2 and Spirit2 free doesn’t work.

And also to upgrade to CM12.1 I will need to perform a factory reset.
I would recommend you 12.1 and do a clear install/factory reset! i am using it daily 😛

If you’re updating from CyanogenMod 12.0 to 12.1, you DON’T NEED to perform with a factory reset/data wiping

Hello everyone, I have a problem with all the updates of this rom cm12.1 , I can never move applications to the SD will not let me , either in CM12 . In other rom as CM11 if I can do it , and formatting fully my SD and as usual , try it with Link2SD nor can be , also remove and replace the SD nor unanswered , another problem is that will not let me install apk ‘s I downloaded browser or other page other than the Play Syore , when I try to install puts me ” application was not installed ” and activate the option is unknown sources and still the same . I hope someone can help me with both problems , sorry if something is not understood as they do not speak English , thank you.
Hi,moving apps to SD is not working for now on CM12.1. For the installing of .apk you must enable root privilegies in developer settings then it should work.

I get frequently that Exchange Services stopped working. I use the Email app for my hotmail account and POP account. Any suggestion why is happening? It never happened in CM11 with the same numbers of mail accounts.

Hmm try deleting email app cache and data in app manager. I am using email app too but it works good for me. O.o If problem persist try factory reset.

Me parece que Android 5..ha traido muchos inconvenientes a sus desarrolladores. CM 11 aventaja.
Buenos días moloski, esta ROM ya esta bastante estable, la estoy usando diariamente y puedo decir que a parte lo del video con la aplicación propia que sale verde, la ROM tiene resultados ya muy satisfactorios. Ya deje de usar CM 11., pero mantengo siempre un respaldo completo de mi ultima instalación de CM11 por si algo pasa, pero hasta el momento, llevo 15 días con CM12.1 y esta ROM en especial esta muy estable.
I think Android 5..ha brought many inconveniences to its developers. CM 11 leads.

realmente seria agradable y util el que al igual que en la CM 11 4.4.4 cuando tuvieras una notificacion !; que se prenideran los botones tactiles para poder saber que te llego algo !.
+eso enserio serial algo fabuloso y util sin lugar a duda !.
Parece que el kernel de ellos todavía no lo acepta, me imagino que están tratando de estabilizar la ROM y luego atacaran ese problema, fíjate que lo del video les ha costado muchísimo ponerlo a funcionar. Ya por lo menos la carga con el celular apagado lo han logrado. Van mejorando rápidamente

Yes. I did wipe cache and dalvik,format all data. I did install gap pico 5.1 package

i really love how you still support this phone. recently i bought the OnePlus One and i gave the s3 mini to my mother(she isnt really into the recent tech) and i installed the kitkat(wich i think is the most stable right now and with less bugs) and i dont come to this website for a long time and you still bring updates and thats awesome even though i will not use them anymore but i loved them

Oh you are right,i dont known about this bug because i am not using any sim card options,I have contacts in phone. I tried to move one sms message on sim and when i checked it,it wasnt here.
Mike good morning just a question as curiosity, is your cell phone unlocked? Can you use sims from any carriers in the world?
Everything about my S3 is factory straight out if the shop. So yes, unlocked.
I know its a custom ROM issue because everything (and I mean everything) works on stock ROM.

Hi all. I would just like to say i’m a newbie on all these rooting and modding of android. This website is topnotch in explaining and directing what to do. Thanks to you all, for helping me mod my S3 Mini rom from Android 4.1.2 to 4.3 without hassles, and I must say I’m loving it.
What is the difference between Android 4.3 and 5.1. Is there a better performance or graphical difference? Will my S3 Mini handle it?
Hello,yes there is a lot of differences between this two versions as in performance and as in graphics. This version of CM12.1 (5.1.1) is in development,with some minor bugs,but i am using it daily and i am happy with it 😀 I would recommend you the CM11 (4.4.4 KitKat) because that rom is very stable,but you can give a try to this one and then decide which one is better for you 😛

This question was probably asked before – how does a person upgrade the rom to Kitkat 4.4.4 without installing all my apps from Jellybean 4.3.
I have clockworkmod, luckypatcher, superuser # installed. Do you somehow make a backup of the apps only? Any advice would be much appreciated.
One last thing on Jellybean 4.3 you must try and make it possible to create a folder, or atleast try and make it possible for the user to rearrange the icons in drawer. I found a work around by moving all apps on to homescreen, and rerranging into organised folders on homescreen, and then hiding apps in drawer. But thanks again for your guys superb efforts for making a great Rom.

The Camu app recorded without sound, can sombody help me or let me know about other app that can record with sound.
Guys your great, this Rom is nearly perfect. No random reboots or crashes.
The only bugs are the green video and usb otg is not working for me 🙁 Also wifi takes longer to connect and is not as stable as in your AOKP 4.4.4 Rom (I’m not sure if that’s your fault)

i have a problem with mail App. it give an error with the exchange services and synchronization with exchange account. I do not know if that problem is only in my divice i guess it is a problem with the server
Try to uncheck in settings of your account Download account and see if the error goes away.

I tried but the error continue even i tried to setting my account by manual settings (no automatic) but it does not connect with the server also i installed the ROM one more time but the problem is still.

I think currently we can only record video in low resolution (640×480?), until stock camera is fully fixed. For me..as i need a fully working HD (5MP) camera i stay on CM 10.2/11 until it is fixed on cm 12.1

In this version the only ones problems I witnessed were some reboots while wearing the device (all times using along with charger) and the launcher that sometimes stops responding and just go back to close the process. I will test the most current versions.
