    What is the difference?
Currently i habe novas cm 5.1 in my phone

    • FlamiN says:

Usually, Carbon based roms have better customization than CM based roms. Other than that, it’s all the same.

    • ryan says:

i tested carbon and it has everything cm12.1 has and more]
such as statusbar settings and customizations
      quick setting customizations
      pie control
option to turn nav bar on or of and change colours
      basically nearly everything

and it is faster than cm12.1 but wifi dos not work and carbon reboots when screen turns of

  • ItsPeet♥Carbon says:

Wow you guys!!! Can’t wait till I have time to try it! Great effort!

  • Mike says:

And no doubt you can’t access all hardware modules on this one too. Why even release a ROM if it’s not fully working on a hardware level? It would only make sense if skilled coders were to debug issues and report them back here for the dev team to fix. What that said, the dev team should be on top of them.

  • Veni Rigel says:

hi..do i need to Root my GS3Mini first before installing this? thanks, noobs here..

  • wscan says:

WOW!!! amazing, i thought you discontinued any other rooms different than CM, thank you for your effort!!!

  • Raul Gerardo says:

Even though I’m not with my S3 mini anymore I’m still surprised by such amazing developer support. Hooray for Novafusion. I’d like to have tested CarbonLP by the moment it was released 🙁

  • Oz Mendez says:

Problems with the wifi not connecting

  • Robbe says:

Thanks guys, but I was not able to detect my wifi and inmediatelly started a loop, restarting continually so I restored my backup of CM 12.1 date 05/23.
Although it looked pretty neet the little I was able to see. Keep the good work

  • FerMora says:

Thanks for this ROM, is very fast and somewhat better than CM but the WIFI don’t work and the phone has restarting continually. You have a follower more 😉

  • Pieter W says:

What’s the difference between Carbon and Cyanogenmod? What are the main differences?

    • Robbe says:

Pieter good morning, as you can see from the title, this is the first release of Carbon Lollypop Rom, usually they are with customizations than CM, but it is first release, new, with lots off bugs. If you want a rom that it is almost, not perfect, almost ready use CM 12.1. If you are looking for something really ok, CM 11, if you like to play with new Roms and experiment with it, go with Carbon, but keep alway a complete backup of everything, because for the moment, it crashes a lot.
I hope this helped you to decide

      • ryan says:

i tested and it has a lot of customization optons and all of them work with no problems

        the only bugs are

        wifi does not work
screen turning off causes a reboot

      • Pieter W says:

Thanks for the reply. But i’m just wondering, what’s so much different when you compare, let’s say, Carbon KitKat and CyanogenMod KitKat? I would like to know what functions Carbon has Cyanogenmod doesn’t have.

        • lalalablubblub says:

          Just the most important:

          -backlight control
          -customizeable hardware buttons
          -general gui customization
          -customizable recent apps screen
          -customizable energy savings configuration
          -customizable progress bars
-additional app launcher with screen border popup menu
-customizable lock screen, lock screen key assignment
-customizable lock screen notificiations and direct app launchig
          -customizable navbar
          -persistent system file cconfigurations
          -pie menu
          -customizable power menu
          -customizable status bar

all features offer extensive customization and configuration

Or simply said: CM offers about no features in general, because the main use for CM is just having a modern OS on an outdated smarpthone.
In opposite, CarbonROM is full with features, gathered from popular ROMS like AOKP and PAC.

        • Ryan says:

It has everything cm12.1 has and way more

If you have ever used gravity box before you will know what I mean

There are so much options that I cant say all but I will try

Statusbar – colours – change position of clock – brightness slider
          Pie control
Navbar – on or off – size – position – colours
Animations – notification animation – app opening animation – switch app animation
Notifications – colours – heads up or statusbar notification
Recent – shows search bar – change clear all position – change what clear all button does

          • Pieter W says:

I’ve installed Carbon 4.4.4, which has pretty much all the functionalities you sum up. So far it’s great!

  • Me says:

thanks guys !!! i also thought that Carbon was abandoned.
if you once try Carbon you cant use another one !
happy you are still working on it 🙂 ! cant wait to see more updates.

  • Laurent Le Borgne says:

When will the return of the AROMA Installer ?

  • odin3 says:

Guys, when original CM12 will work stable? We dont need Carbon, we need stable ROM)

  • Alway reboot. how to fix ??

  • kekz0r1337 says:

Gr8 work 😛 here are my bugs:

    – No Berlin in the Timezone
    – WLAN isnt working

  • evilpinto says:

I could not follow carbon development for this release since there is no access to it’s website. Nice one NovaFusion!!!

  • Ing. Rodrigo says:

Then do not install it and stay with Kitkat. These are all excellent ROMS. Or learn to cook your ROM on your own. .l.

  • alberto says:

You guys do a great job with these roms, I already installed it and I went back to carbon 4.4.4 because the phone reset when screen is off pressing the on/off button. Anyway, good job fellas

  • Andrei says:

Can someone help me? I flashed every rom i found on this site, and my capacityve buttons doesnt work, With stock rom they work and now i have do restore backup. I like using ur rom’s but this problem is annoyng me.

  • Pieter W says:

Yesterday I installed Carbon KitKat. It says offline charging works, but yesterday I tried it out, and it doesn’t. I read in a post converting the filesystem to f2fs enables offline charging, but that didn’t work as well. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I like to turn off my phone at night to charge it.

  • Pieter W says:

I’ve installed Carbon 4.4.4 (latest version) ROM yesterday and I’m very pleased with it. Cyanogenmod started going slow at some point and I’ve done a factory reset, converted the file system to f2fs and I have very good performances now (with an internal storage as full as on Cyanogenmod).
My only issue so far is sharing video’s. When I want to share a video in e.g. Messenger (Facebook chat), it crashes. I also can’t send any video’s on snapchat. I can vid, but I can’t send them. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It’d be great if you could update Carbon 4.4.4. I’ve been using it since yesterday now and I can say it easily keeps up with Cyanogenmod, if not better. It has a lot of functionalities (PIE, navigation menu, …) you don’t find on stock Cyanogenmod.

  • Jay says:

For everyone with wi-fi problems. It is a kernel issue.I flashed F_Kernel and now the wi-fi’s working.

  • Andrés Q says:

As say Jay, the ROM it’s working with F_Kernel.

Wifi works, screen turning off don’t causes a reboot.

    😀

  • yaz says:

Wifi is working for me, only issue I have is with profiles app and dialer app, they randomly stop working. In previous release profile app worked without issue (Maybe the issue is with higher call volume setting, I had to increase it, because calls were too quiet, and above volume 9 for calls profile app crash. Other volume bars works fine.). And when some1 is calling to me, it takes a long time before the phone starts ringing.

  • yaz says:

Sry, I wanted to post this message to the build 20150701, not here, you can delete it, I cannot.
