Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than Carbon 4.4.4!

Issues
- video taken by stock camera app is green, but some apps like Camu taking correct videos without any issues

Great
Goggle play service crashs again and again after install with wipe cache / dalvik.
Red phone and dialer crashs if you use contact list to make call (problem still exist in early rom).
Cant recognize any changes to early rom. Redesign from CM not present in this rom.
Is very hard to test new roms, if you dont give any info about the changes. 🙁
Maybe try with another GAPPS?

Bad update. Google crashed, wiping dakvik didn’t help. Something went wrong while updating, reinstalled Gapps. My Google-Account was not enabled, couldn’t use my phone because the keyboard crashed as well. Will be go back to CM11 until this version is a bit better….
not the stable releases fault. http://www.technobuzz.net/download-android-5-1-1-google-apps-for-cm-12-or-any-custom-rom/ try these gapps, works fine with me.

Nope, did an update from the previous version including dalvik wipe.
then try factory reset
Uninstall via a uninstaller app Google play services and google play, then flash the gapps again, it should work now

Same for me. Only wiping Dalvik and Cache after flashing ROM comes to problems with Google apps. Only a factory reset solves the problem… But i dont wanna reset after each new release

Woww really good update, the ROM run smoothy and fast, systemui crash bug, has been fixed :D. Instagram, youtube, facebook, videos, still work without crashes. battery goes better.
for those who experiment google play crashes, do a clean install, or change ur gapps.
How about moving apps to ext.sd card, does it work?
Yes! I have same expriences. This ROM run fast and smooth beside CM11..
I can confirm that these features work:
– offline charging
– camera
– mobile data, VPNs
– FB,YT, videos stream apps
– GApps
– baterry life seems good. No 1Ghz bugs, deep sleep also works.
I found these bugs:
– music player playback (maybe problem with audio codec)
– lower sound level during calls (U have to switch volume down and up to increse)
– time by time UI crash
– F2FS is not working. If you format /DATA and /SYSTEM partions to F2FS all through, during instalation TWRP automaticly choose EXT4.
I did clean install with EXT4 data format.
Do you have some workaround with audio playback? I tried many apps, it should problem with drivers.
How about moving apps to ext.sd card, does it work now?

Hi jomar, I am using Facebook lite. It is less heavy than the normal app
It works without bugs including video playback! YT app is also function.

the color of Notifications’ text are white and the background is white,I tried to change the colors,but didn’t work.

i think so than you need is concentrarte in an single ROM….CARBON or CM, and solve the current errors….
System UI crashes again and again, the smartphone restarts again and again, google play store & services right’s are corrupted or invalidated, 2 GB of internal storage are lost (?) …
At the evening I will try to return at CarbonRomKK …

Dont know what u are doing, it works fine for me. Very smooth, fast and stable. No crashes at all. Try to flash other gapps and do factory wipe
Laurent you must have done something wrong.
I suggest that after you flash this rom you flash again the gapps and use the correct one for 5.1 than before restart wipe dalvik and cache.
I was already using Carbon 5.1 and I flashed the new ROM over it.
What ROM were your cell using?
Hello ma’am /sir im having the same problem too but mine is system ui crash only. i flashed the right gapps and followed instruction. I just did a few set ups in carbon fibers and enabled my developer option then SU
hello again its been 3 days im still using this rom . i think i hve figured it out about system ui crash thing. whenever the vattery reaches 15% then it will notify you , before you see the 15% noti pop up system ui will crash and then after 2-3 tries clicking system Ui crash youll see the noti of battery . i think thats the reason why crashing. sorry for my bad rip english thx 🙂
Music stop working while changing to another song

Recuerda de flashear las gapps de 5.1 que le correspondan o vas a tener errores con play store.

Made a fresh install (Factory reset)
This way i have no problems with gapps.
Sometimes the S3 mini boots in optimization process for apps, it allways takes about 10 minutes…
Is there a way to get the “switch off animation” like a horizontal razor ???
Now when i press the power button, it fades slowly out.

I cant choose F2FS file system before instalation this ROM. Im using TWRP 2.8 I have already format /data /cache /system partitions to F2FS. How to do that?
Outstanding ROM. I have no issues except it doesn’t read the contacts info on the SIM card (No worries) and I agree with Robbe on both the torch and video is still scrambled (Green screen is a misnomer) also smooth touch screen. No issues. I installed my nano gapps and it works great as always.
On a side note: I don’t know how you guys install your ROM and/or Gapps but the way I do it to have minimal problems are I wipe dalvik and cache three times before ROM installation. I also wipe dalvik and cache three times after installation. I install the gapps and wipe dalvik and cache three times afterwards. A total of nine wipes. The reason for so many wipes is because this phone is a big hard drive and if you don’t want to have any residual memory leftover that can interfere with installation or apps operations so the more wipes the better. If you have to install a new ROM than you need to include three factory resets. Just my two cents worth. I’ve had absolute minimal ROMs issues since early CM11 days and this method has worked for me perfectly.
For the TEAM, please take a look at your competitors on how to solve whatever errors. Unless there is a copyright or patents infringement going on this should be an open source and you should be able to collaborate or bounce ideas off each other. Carbon is nearly flawless and CM12 is quite the opposite if this continues CM12 will cease to exist for bunch of people. Enjoy good luck
Report: every time that an income call ends, the dialer notify that stopped working. This condition does not happens with an outgoing call. In my case.
Battery runs fast with wifi on and Location On, even in the case of battery saver.

ROM runs nice and smooth, great work.
So far, I noticed these bugs:
– When adding or editing buttons for SlimPie, the “Choose Action” popup is empty
– In the notifications drawer’s top bar there is a big gap between the battery icon and the profile icon.

Has “No Sim card” bug fixed here?
Twice you moderators deleted my comments on the ROM and constructive criticism for you to do a better ROM build. If you can’t handle it than maybe you should get out of the ROM business and do something less criticism. I have never given you guys any bad derogatory remarks. Now if you get butt hurt because my comments may hurt your ego or if the comments I stated may not be for the appropriate subject why don’t you let me know so I can make the comments under an appropriate category.
I figure this comment is going to get deleted so figure I will state it anyway. If another comment of mine get deleted I’ll cease my donations. I don’t have a need to donate to someone who usurp freedom of speech. Especially my comment isn’t derogatory in nature.
Wifi is working for me, only issue I have is with profiles app and dialer app, they randomly stop working. In previous release profile app worked without issue (Maybe the issue is with higher call volume setting, I had to increase it, because calls were too quiet, and above volume 9 for calls profile app crash. Other volume bars works fine.). And when some1 is calling to me, it takes a long time before the phone starts ringing.
Bug:
System ui crash loop when pressing power buttton(screen off) on an app that prevents your phone from going to lock screen, like geometry dash, polaris etc

Critical bugs I’ve found so far:
1. Incoming call constantly crashes dialer.
2. Random reboot (memory leak?)
Non critical ones:
1. SystemUI crashes when I make some tweaks in the CarbonROM Fibers.
2. Battery are drained quickly on WiFi.
3. Shuttle music player (from play store) always crashes.
Good things:
1. No more video crashes (Instagram, YouTube)
2. Overall performance is impressive (w/ f2fs)

It is very fluid, excellent. But the phone application is usually stopped when receiving a call. the “system UI” also stops occasionally.
I am realy like all that Maclaw is doing for our S3 mini. Latest release of CarbonLP is having very bad issue – call drop !!!

Great! Is working really fine for me. Actually, I feel it smoother than CM11.
Here are some problems:
-I can’t find how to change between users. I tryied to find the “users” section, but nothing.
– When I tap the “User” icon in the status bar it says that there is no user
– It reboots itself many times, when Spotify is playing music.
– The heads-up stuff is black, even if I try to change the color
– The notifications are white, as well as the text. So I can’t read the text.
– The album cover displayed on the lockscreen when I use some music app doesn’t work well, the image is pixelated
I think it’s all. However, it’s a great ROM 😉

A really great ROM. Running very smooth, with no battery drain (which I had with the previous version).
Whatsapp not getting sync with contacts. Pls suggest.

great ROM, fast and light.
Just two problem:
1. UI crash random.
2. No operator signal (no service)
SystemUI crashes every time the battery low alarm goes off at 15%.
Dialler crashes randomly.
When are you releasing an update?

Is there any way to add more buttons (such as 2G/3G…) to the status bar???? I sincerely miss so much the carbon rom kk status bar and all of their buttons.

Nice bro, I get nothing bug/crash except System UI, and sometimes Google Play Service too. Other work fine. Can’t wait for carbon next update with no bug/crash happen.
