RELEASE for S3 Mini
CyanogenMod 12.1
New stable release (20150715) of CM12.1 for S3 Mini is available!
Please, test it and report any bugs!
For flashing Lollipop, we recommend you to install our TWRP recovery (available on Download page)!
Do full backup before installation and wipe data/cache (factory reset) after installation if you don’t updating from older CM12.0 release.
You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!

Issues
- video taken by stock camera app is green, but some apps like Camu taking correct videos without any issues

The call drop is one of those things that should be fixed firstly. I can completely live without whatsapp vids, yt hd or simmilar but calls are too important to be neglected. It’s an awsome rom though.
I have or had this issue. I when looking at the Dialler settings and under Calls→Phone Account settings, there is a setting “Receive incoming calls” that was disabled by default on my system. I enabled it at tried calling my phone and this time dialler didn’t stop working. Still too early to see if the problem is related to this setting but it’s worth giving it a try.

– BLN Control doesn’t work, due to Novafusion kernel, apparently
– Still torch Long on-time.
– Still torch crashes when toggle several times… then the phone reboots
– No EAP-SIM, whereas it exists on Samsung ROM stock
– Sometimes when I turn on the screen, the touch doesn’t work.
– Battery drains so fast !
– very very slower compared with previous releases

To your battery problem: Its not because of Novafusions Roms, its your battery in your S3 mini which slowly went broken.
Buy a new one and you haven’t battery problems anymore. Attention: Cells on Amazon etc. are almost always dangerous fake-orginal battery’s which can burn and explode.

The camera don’t record video, when you see what you record, all green screen looks.
as for the bugs there are still many and some are listed in the comments, my bugs are:
– screen when unlocked touch won’t work ( can be avoided in the current time by relocking, press any volume button and then unlock)
– phone reboots a lot by itself
– preview vidoes crashes used app ( e.g. Instagram or vines )
– notification menu sometimes won’t go all the way down
– flashlight takes time to turn on or off
– WiFi direct doesn’t work at all with any other phone, it just connects but doesn’t send
– battery indicator sometimes goes to the wrong place when notification panel is all down
that’s what I have so far but other than that thanks for this awesome ROM really the team is working as much as they can and I wish you the best of luck 😀

But this is mine bugs:
– WIFI Drop -> After some time Wifi drop connection and I need turning off an on again
– Torch reboots -> I turn on Flash on camera, or on torch or messenger apps to take a pic with flash, the phone frozen and reboot
– Random reboots because crash cause a lose of cache -> After a random crash or reboot the phone auto clear the cache, this make the re-initialization so long and drain a lots of battery because android make a optimization of all apps to start.
– Battery wont correct display -> All times battery full charge show only 94%
– Video Codec wont work properly -> Sometime YouTube work, sometime crash, in my games is the same, sometimes work videos from games, some crash…
– Phone App is so slow and lagglly -> Phone don’t turn on if somebody call me and for see I need to block and unblock to see when is calling
– No more battery optimization -> I migrate to Lolipop because in first releases, the SO consume so much lass than KitKat, now… The battery drain a lots without causes, and I see in configs and isn’t 1Ghz bug.
– In call slow volume -> To make it normal I need tap vol – and vol + to work properly.
– No apps to record Videos -> I tried CAMU but is so trash, the record is in slow-motion, and other apps records green too.
– APK’s wont install!!! -> I tried all things, move to internal, to external, by AirDroid, and APK’s wont install 🙁
One good thing:
– Torch reboots now leave more time do happen but, if happen drain a lots of battery because Android start optimization after a lose of cache.
– YouTube and Facebook videos work well, I don’t have problems with that. I don’t use Instagram or Twitch to know about that two.
A personal comment: I like so much of functions of Lolipop, for me this is the best SO can I tried on mine phone. I like so much of new volume system and new “dont disturb for X hour” or “only stars contacts can call you” , I belive this a wonderfull work and wait for a final milestone release from this SO for mine S3 Mini. This’ll the last ROM for this phone.

Novafusion began only to experiment from beginning of 2015. They dont care to make a stable releases at all. I think fixing Kitkat issues (which began from 2015 year: Youtube error, High battery drain, Lower performance than stock etc.) is MUCH MORE important than experiment on Lollipop.
Untill 2015 CM11 from NOVA was BEST…. but now, its useless… CM12.1 is too.
What about CM12.1, I used it 2 days… battery drains, performance poor, random restarts, torch startup is slow, a lot of other major bugs…
Use only who wants to join to experiment. So The word “STABLE” is fake here:

Sorry for critics, this is just my subjective opinion. Maybe I am wrong. I returned to Stock after 1.5 years of using Nova’s software. Sadly. I was waiting for reallly stable release several months…
Camera work for take a picture but dont work take video or how i do ?

I have one issue on the rom that published at 14.6.2015 when remove the clock widget it can’t back in center again until I messing with grid size or reinstall the rom! hope it fixed by now.
I’m not using the phone for internet at this time so I can’t tell anything about that but twice I connected to internet via wifi and brows the net without any problem.
can you make the material color changeable in your rom? sms and call apps looks ugly and I have to install other apps like textra and exdialer(no dropping all in this app) to scape this nightmare and the same goes for your file manager,make it light blue or something else,I don’t wanna use xposed either.

Hello, hello and thank you for the great work CM12.1. My question is, if any hope of repair videos. I’ve tried dozens of applications, and it’s only the one that is listed on the (camu) But here it is jerky.
GOOGLE PLAY crash.
Clear cache and data for Google Play Services in App Info. It’s worked for me before.
What did you do to my phone?! It’s so smooth and responsive! This has never happened before!

I look forward to bring ArchiDroid’s optimization for CarbonLP, too.
CarbonLP works great and stable now. Battery performance is better then on KitKat but speed performance is not on the level like on KitKat.
WI-FI doesn’t work.

No problem with wifi. Wipe system, data and cache in twrp, flash rom and it should work.

– phone reboots by itself expecially when the battery charge is under 10%
– Battery drains too fast
_ Google Play Services crashes
_ To charge the phone with the car battery charger it’s necessary to reboot the phone with the cable plugged in.

Besides above mentioned bugs, I have faced out to some difficulties with lower sound of ear-speaker. It is quite unfriendly to speak with someone and cannot hear other side correctly. Also sometimes can happened that phone signal is going to zero. Previous CM11 did not behave like that. Think about downgrade to previous version until bugs will be fixed.
WIFI is down sometimes…needed off/on to work again.
Wow this is great! My phone has never been this smooth but there are still some bugs with bluetooth and it would be greatly appreciated if these were fixed

So far the best release of CM, but it doesn’t change the fact that Carbon should get more attention as it is better. I’d like to ask you Macław if it’s possible to port ArchiDroids there? If so, I can’t even imagine how smooth carbon would get.

Perform clean flash, install micro or mini gapps pack and if any problem occurs after that, then complain.
I have “call drop issue” only wen I force 2G network.
Everything works fine but videos on apps like instagram and Facebook crashes a lot and some apps force close too . please notify if there’s anything on videos bugs.
Hi i have CM12.1 and these were the bugs that I found: First my phone is a mini S3 GT-I8190L and I correctly installed the ROM, and the very first boot the lights flickered and then dimmed keys, and did not work but I am using virtual buttons and I hate those buttons, they only return to work if I go back to stock rom 4.1.2 but I’ve had enough of this rom finally another bug I found was that the Minecraft and many other apps do not are not even installing the Xposed does the installation, he says it’s not yet available for my phone, the chip signal every time some, as if he had no chip, have to restart the same battery with the screen turned off the day whole, discharges very fast, good these were the problems I had with her, meant that I will continue with this ROM because it is very fast, and brought the android 5.1.1 update for my s3 that had stopped in 4.1. 2 thank you very much and that’s

Was thinking of getting a new phone. Mainly just sick of old JB (OEM). Man this mod is swe-e-et!!! Way better than the stock firmware I was running. Everything seems to be running great (faster than ever too)… Phone, SMS, DATA, (ATT US) Wifi, BT(LE!!), GMaps, Music, Alarms, Camera… all my regulars, not too may problems as of yet. New $10 battery and it’s like a new phone. Great Work!

No es tan simple, y la prueba está en que ni un sólo equipo de desarrolladores que están trabajando en ROM’s personalizadas 5.x, han podido hacer funcionar la cámara correctamente. Tiempo al tiempo.
Thanks for great work guys! The issues that I encountered (most annoying for me) are;
– YouTube, Whatsapp, Twitter and Instagram etc. videos are not working, (Crushes)
– Crushes when browsing 9gag
– Video problem taken by Google Camera app
– Random restarts (most annoying thing)
– Call drop (sometimes)
– Call volume problem (still using temporary solution by pressing down + up once)

I just needed to say that Carbon is simply the best Custom ROM for S3Mini from NovaFusion team.
True that but it uses a lot of battery. For me CM11 works best.
