You need to perform a wipe if you’re migrating from software different than CM12.0!
You can get it on our DOWNLOAD page.

Camu Working?
where can I get OmniRom for my S3 Mini?
When will you fix stock camera?
They dont know how to fix that ‘-.-
Why there is no NFC?
it is Samsung’s fault
open source = people can download a copy of code and do what they want with it
closed source = no one can look at the code accept people with access to it
Samsung said they would make the NFC code opensource but they never did
so the NFC code is closed source
Maclaw can’t do anything but hope Samsung open sources the code
or they can try to remake the code from scratch which will be really difficult
Thanks Ryan.
NFC require hardware to work that S3 mini doesn´t have
Sorry for bad english
because s3 mini never had this option
@José na metalerock
This is Nonsense.
I have the S3 Mini with NFC. On stock-rom NFC works.
It´s how Ryan wrote.
The hardware (S3 Mini) have nothing to do with it.
No FM radio
spirit light
Sky,
Hopefully this will work. This is a more condensed version. First of all no offense taken and I accept your opinions. NovaTeam does great work on their ROMs. Their CM11 to me is second to no one else especially their 03032015-04042015 CM11.
Look at the big picture. Their CM12.1 is plague with problems. The fans here let them know and they don’t respond. At the XDA Forums the same team respond to their fans. They’re trying to figure out the Dialup errors but you don’t here about it here. I criticize them here because they don’t respond to their fans with basic info. On the other board I said very little because they’re doing the right thing.
I have two mini that I use. One is for the best ROM I can use for my daily driver and other is for testing purpose. I loaded so many different ROMs on that phone it’s not even funny. There are 9 different ROMs for GT-i8190 and 2 ROMs for GT-i8200 for people to play with yet they come here to play with one ROM. Go to the other board and you’ll know exactly what I mean. Have fun!!
The fact that you constantly comment here on every rom criticizing makes me not want to download the omnirom that you desperately try and get everyone to test
Smithy,
I don’t criticize every ROM. I like CM11. I’ve used it for a very long time. I don’t like CM12/12.1 for obvious reason. I have never had any issues with CarbonLP until a version later. Read my comments on that (For which you haven’t read). I have favorable comments for Cromi-kk, SlimROM, SlimKat and ofcourse OmniROM. I don’t care if you use the ROM or not. No skin off of my back. Currently This is my daily driver. Couple months ago it was CarbonLP. If you read my comments you know basically what I’m saying is there are other ROMs out there. Try them all!! You’ll find the one that you’ll like. So next time read my comments and think about the meaning before you make an idiotic comment.
Tried downloading omnirom and it just says encryption unsuccessful every time
Trying SlimRom now too
edit – couldn’t find SlimRom and OmniRom still doesn’t work
ANOTHER update (sorry) Finally found a way to get OmniRom to work after a few hours researching, and now I realise the it genuinely is better then cm12, I was defending novafusion because they try there best to bring us roms however you’ve opened my mind to the other roms out there 😛
ANOTHER update (sorry) I finally got OmniRom to work after hours of research and I’ve realised it genuinely is better than cm12, I’ve been using an old version of carbonLP till now and have defended novafusion as they try there best to bring us roms however you’ve opened my mind to the fact that there is other teams out there 😛
Smithy,
Understandable. NovaTeam does great work and listen to their fans on XDA-Developers website. My issues are they ignore their fans on this website. Their CM12.1 will get better. They got the guy that worked on OmniROM to help them with CM12.1 ROM so hopefully they can now start to resolve an ongoing issues with their ROM. I’m glad I was able to enlighten you on other ROMs. Like I said before try them all and you’ll eventually find one you like. Enjoy!!
Woo more updates, back to carbonLP 0610 because of battery drain and not being able to put anything on the top line on the home screen
Smithy,
You know 0701 is the latest updates. The 0618 is the better version. The Dialer don’t hang up when you move it away from your ear like the 0701 version and it’s just a bit slower than 0701. I believe the 0610 is even slower and it has ui issues resetting itself over and over. Good luck with it.
Ok ill try 0618, thanks
In 0816 There is incoming call crashes and crashs with music apps, 0810 is the only rom ive ever come across (having tested Omni and slim Rom) that has basically no faults
Smithy,
0816 is OmniROM and 0618 is CarbonLP. CarbonLP doesn’t haven’t put out 0810 as far as I know and OmniROM last update is 0816. So which one are you trying out?
CarbonLP has 0610 which I was using, I had tried Omni 0816 which was much better however I couldn’t place any widgets/apps on the top row of the home page and that just really annoyed me. Now ive gone back to cm11
Smithy,
Huh!! That’s weird. I have my weather widgets on my home page and I’m using OmniROM 0816. Matter of fact I have News Repubic and Flipboard widgets on the third page and all of them are working fine. Did you do anything different from the instructions? If not than try my instructions. It’s on July and Aug comment sections. Just do a ctrl f on my name you’ll find it. Good luck if you decide to try it.
bug … Try it in Geometry dash
Hi, I have installed CyanogenMod 12.1 (2015-08-18) and I want to know how to update to 12.1 (2015-08-29). Thx for help!
The flash light can’t be turned off. That’s quite an important bug eh.
Hi Maclaw and rest of the team.
Been using your rooms for S3 Mini, currently on CM 12.1, but going back to version around en of May.
Since then I’ve been experiencing some serious performance degradation in this ROM. There are some specific app bugs, that have been fixed over time, but the major issue has been that when you install it freshly it seems fine, but after 1 or 2 days running, performance degrades so bad that the device becomes barely usable.
A reboot gets it better temporarily, but it falls into the same problem again.
I appreciate your work, some of the problems may not even be under your control and I believe CM team has been messing up lately.
If you are able to address or investigate this issue, please let me know.
Regards
I can’t use screen cast with microsoft wireless display any advise?
The Golden-guy worked on the OmniROM. It’s good they decided to get some help for the dialer. Hopefully this is the beginning of a very good CM12.1.
Where can I get the OmniRom? I was searching for it but I couldn’t find it. Prep, is this CMrom going good? I’ve read all the comments in earliers ROMs that says that these updates are not going good. If you help me I will be very thankful.
Thanks.
Mery,
Read the 08182015 comment sections dated 31 Aug 2015. You’ll the ROMs there on the website.
Mery,
Disregard my last comment. Go to 08152015 Comment section and scroll down to the very last comment. Url is listed there.
mikelly
Have you tested this rom already?
I am testing omni 08/16, pretty good.
Robbe,
Yes I have. It’s now my daily driver for my phone. I have another phone I use to test other ROMs. It’s very smooth and no glitches at all. As for the video scrambling I dumped the camu app and started to use videocam illusion. It’s design for videos only. Since I have a very good camera app I figure I go this route.
another good video app to try is VivaVideo
material and flat design
video editor
lots of different features
no lag in video recording
Ryan,
I’ll take a look at it. Thanks
Hi Robbe and mikelly,
I am testing Omni 08/16. The battery drains very very very faster ! It is worst than CM12.1
Maybe it is because of BLN Control ???
Vope,
You need to go into performance and set your governor to “Ondemand” and your schedule to “Noop”. Also set your frequency to min 200Mhz and leave max at 1000Mhz. That’ll alleviate your battery drainage. It’s set at high performance that’s why the battery drained fast.
Vope,
I forgot to mention if you reboot the performance will reset at high performance so you’ll have to reset again. Keep that in mind when you reboot.
Vope and mikelly
At the bottom of the performance screen there is a check mark that makes you keep the setup chosen automatically on boot, so you don’t have to keep setting up every time you reboot.
With “Ondemand” ans “Noop”, battery still drain so fast
Vope,
That check works on certain settings. If it works on yours that’s great. If it still drains than try setting the governor to “Sakuracitve” and schedule to “noop”. Make sure the frequency is set to 200Mhz min and 1000Mhz Max periodically check on the setting to make sure it sticks.
If it still drains than you must have Facebook, Whatsapp, spotify, instagram, tumblr and/or waze on your phone. These apps drains regardless what phone you use or what ROMs you have. If you use any of these apps you’re going to lose battery power quick. I don’t use any of those apps on my phone. I use some of those apps on a browser because the browser don’t use up resources and drain battery. Hopefully this’ll help.

mikelly,
I switched to Sakuractive and it is still the same. The battery drains so fast compared to CM12.1.
I don’t use Facebook, Whatsapp, spotify, instagram, tumblr and/or waze
Vope,
You got me. Everything I told you works perfectly on my phone and I get 13hrs of use. If I let it set idle it’ll last about 2 1/2 days. The only thing I can think of is you have a program running in the background you’ll need to find.
Vope,
I use a program called Fast Reboot. look it up on google play. This help extend my battery uses.
call the call display slow
this rom crashed completely my phone. The UI system stops all the time.
Hello NovaFusion Team ;
Fixed :
– Low incall volume.
– Dialer Crash on in come
Problems :
– Random Screen, Graphical Tearing/Flickering/Glitching (LiveDisplay Disabled)
– Facebook sometimes not Downloading/Uptading (Gives -503 or -400 Error)
– When i click on screen “Back” and “Menu” buttons activating
– Rare Issue : Screen stops responding {Fix : Lock the screen and unlock again}
– Apps can’t moved to SD CARD
To Nova Team :
– Camu is recording on 3-5 FPS but VivaVideo is Better 🙂
i can move apps to my sd card
what sd card size do you have?
16GB
Ryan, What SD Card size do you have? I remember the first time I Used CM12.0 I was able to move my apps to sd card, then after a week I can no longer move my apps to ds card. Since then all release versions of CM12.0 and CM12.1 can’t move apps to sd card. I have 16GB sd card. thanks
How did you move? For me it doesn’t work. “Apps can’t move. Insufficient memory space”. Even though i have plenty.
I have a lot of files on my SD card
Theory : you can have any size SD card
But you have to have a certain amount of storage
16gb seems to be too low
And my 32gb SD seems to much
I have 22 GB free on my 32gb and I can move apps
But when I have 25gb I could not
What resolution does vivavideo record? You can check in gallery in the video properties of the recording. It’s such a pity that I couldn’t record at HD resolution on cm12 with camu. 🙁 For that reason I use cm11.

Audio fx not working , please fix it
Installed CM12.1 (20150829) via recovery. First I did a complete wipe (several times, as it did not work the first time, until even the internal sd card/memory was completely wiped of all former App data. So everything was like a factory new phone. I double checked that system, data and cache were f2fs formatted. During the first few moments of installation I got the following messages:
detected file system f2fs for /dev/block/mmcblk9p22
detected file system ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk9p22
After installation I checked system partition and it was formatted ext4. F2fs was gone.
As recovery I used the f2fs enabled version GT-I8190_TWRP_2.8.7.0-f2fs.zip. This one worked perfectly for installing several of the latest Kitkat releases.
how did you install your GT-I8190_TWRP_2.8.7.0-f2fs.zip? I tried installing it with TWRP 2.8.0.0 recovery but after installing it my phone got stuck on boot logo and does not start or I can’t even get it to recovery mode, I believe that’s what they call a boot-loop. I have to odin it when it happens.
I installed it, like everything, via an older recovery. Initially I installed a (now) older KitKat release with ODIN. This one includes a TWRP I think, not sure. Initially I did everything like mentioned in Nova’s Tutorials, as I’m a newbie. Meanwhile I read on and several weeks later I found a 2.8.1.0 TWRP. Installed this via recovery. Some time passed by and I found the mentioned 2.8.7.0 somewhere in XDA. I installed it via the default procedure in recovery. Nothing special. Reboot. Finished.
yeah! at last, I installed my GT-I8190_TWRP_2.8.7.0-f2fs with no errors now, had to odin it to get it work and I noticed every time you change your TWRP you also have to reflash your CM. :).
Offline charging is fixed?
Not here!
It behaves a bit different in that the star-like icon disappears after a few seconds and the screen goes complete blank.
Recovery is only possible by pressing the power on button for 8 seconds at least.
luckily someone on XDA posted maclaw the offline charging code
so hopefully offline charging will be fixed in next release
turns out offline charging is related to the kernel
I installed OmniROM. Much better than CM
hola gogi podras dar el enlace para instalar omni rom y que version instalastes please
Sky,
To best answer your questions and hopefully this get posted is go to. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-mini/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3071937 The NovaTeam answers their questions and don’t answer the fans here. The reason why I criticize them here. I barely comment on the other site because the NovaTeam are great over there and not here. Hopefully you understand.
Sky,
To best answer your questions and hopefully this get posted is go to the XDA forum site. The NovaTeam answers their questions (very interactive) and don’t answer the fans here. The reason why I criticize them here. I barely comment on the other site because the NovaTeam are great over there and not here. Hopefully you understand.
Sky,
This is a very condensed version of a half a page so hopefully you’re smart enough to understand what I’m trying to say. None (offensive comment) taken. I welcome your comments.
Sky,
I forgot to mention. I use two minis, one if for testing purpose and the other is for my daily driver using what I believe to be the best ROM out there. Which is right now OmniROM with SlimROM very close second and CarbonLP up there.
Sky,
Read my comments to Robbe on number of phone use. This sucks trying to word it correctly to get my comments posted.
what about auto-reboot ?
Is this fixed ?
THANKS FOR ALL NOVAFUSION BUT I INSTALL OMNIROM AND IS MORE STABLE ROM
Please correct the error :
– offline will not charge
– talking voice comes less (need to open the audio manually)
Thank you 🙂
Sky,
My apologies for a million comments. I guess as a joke they decided to release all the comments I wrote to you.
Mikelly
At least a late freedome of speech 🙂
🙂
Pls fix the camcorder
Sorry for my ” French “, flyme os no plans to develop ?
too many soft reboots…this release is completely useless to me 🙁
same here
Try some of the other ROMs. Go to XDA-Developers site. I’ve tested all of them and I do have my favorite I use as daily and other I use for testing purposes.
Hello team,
many thanks for your effort to bring up our “old” S3 mini again functional. 🙂 Phone is much more faster, but still some bugs are occur. In my case they are (except of already mentioned like green video, diealer crash, low incall volume,..) also:
Hotspot activation. It’s very hard to activate the WiFi Hotspot. Phone goes to be horrible slow and it’s not possible to use it for “long” time (minute or two).
I don’t know if you know this bug so it’s only for your info.
Anyway – many thanks again for your job.
Thx for this nice ROM! So smooth and stable. Battery consumption is very good. I found one Bug: with o2 (Germany), i have no 3G connectivity. (with new APN)
